Chapter One
Miss Lilly’s Surprise
It was springtime in the village of Chipping Cheddar, and Angelina was happily dancing around her garden. Angelina loved everything about springtime: the birds singing, the warm breezes blowing, and especially all the bright spring flowers.
Angelina was showing her little sister, Polly, a springtime flower dance. Let’s dance like daffodils, Polly,
said Angelina, twirling across the grass. One more spin, and then it’s time for me to go to ballet class!
Angelina and Polly twirled together, and then Angelina raced upstairs to pick up her ballet bag. She hugged Polly, said goodbye to her parents, and skipped out the door.
