Black Sheep Redemption - A.Michelle
Chapter 1: The Golden Child
MAYA HAD ALWAYS FELT like the odd one out in her family. She was the youngest of four siblings, and from an early age, she felt like she did not fit in. Her older brothers and sisters were all outgoing and popular, while Maya was quiet and reserved. She spent a lot of time alone, reading books and drafting stories in her journal.
Despite her introverted nature, Maya was always aware of her father's jealousy and resentment towards her. He would often make comments about how Maya was his favorite child, or how she was the only one who ever listened to him. Maya's mother tried to protect her from these comments, but she could only do so much. Maya could feel the weight of her father's expectations on her, and it was suffocating.

The weight of being the golden child started to take its toll on Maya. She became more introverted, withdrawing from her family and spending even more time alone. She did not know how to deal with her father's expectations or her siblings' resentment. She felt like she was stuck in a difficult situation.
Maya tried to talk to her mother about how she was feeling, but it never seemed like they could get
