This book was written for those who do not know Jesus Christ from the ‘Bible,’ but you do believe in a higher power or even that angels do exist. You have questions and no answers to fundamental things like where we really came from and why we are here on this earth. Chapter 1

"A Generational Family

History"

Jessica was six years old when she discovered her mum was different. She was not like the other mothers at her school. She struggled to connect with her mother; it was a difficult relationship even at that tender age. The only good memories she had of her mother were of times when she was heavily medicated, because that was the only time she managed to crack a smile at her. Liz, her mother, had bipolar and schizophrenia. Liz’s mother, Agnes, looked after her all her life because of her condition.

It seems that there was a history of mental illness in the family. Grandma Agnes never had it, but her mother Elizabeth did, and it’s been in the family line. Her (Jessica’s) mother would be taken away for periods of time to a mental institute when her episodes got bad and uncontrollable. Jessica was brought up by her grandmother. Jessica’s father was an ex-cop turned alcoholic. He did not have custody of Jessica due to his dependency on alcohol as well as the deeper reasons behind that. Her parents had met while her dad was busting a drug operation where her mum happened to be getting her next fix at the time it was happening. He had fallen in love with her and even had intentions of marrying her. He soon discovered she had serious mental problems and she was expecting their baby. After realising the depth of the situation, he found himself in, he just couldn’t cope with life anymore and turned to alcoholism.

The first time Jessica experienced her mother having an episode was when she came home from school one afternoon. As soon as she stepped through the front door of the house, she heard screams. She was startled and scared. Wondering what was going on, she called out to her grandma. Grandma Agnes came down the stairs and told her not to be afraid, that her mum was not feeling well and reassured her everything would be okay. She was ushered to the study and Grandma shut the door and turned on the TV to drown out the screams that seemed to be getting louder. Leaving her to attend to her daughter upstairs, she gave her a warm reassuring smile and disappeared.

Jessica was naturally curious, even as a baby. She left the study and slowly crept up the staircase to investigate what was going on. She didn’t understand why her mother was screaming and she was determined to find out. She climbed up the stairs quietly, reached the landing and across the room was her mother. She was at the corner of the bedroom floor, crouched and covering her eyes with one hand and with the other hand, pointing at the wall. She was hysterical and crying out, "They are here, they have come to torture me! Leave me alone, go away, help me, please, someone help me, they
