The Backstory

If you’ve already worked through 66 DAYS TO GO together, you can skip this part. But if you haven’t, you’ll probably want to know how this unique way to do couple devotions got started.

Several years ago, as my youngest daughter Ariel prepared to marry Caleb, I felt growing within me a strong desire to set them up for a solid marriage WIN.

As a pastor, I had counseled countless couples over the years. I had written three marriage books: TOUGH TALK TO A STUBBORN SPOUSE, FOR LOVERS ONLY and WHY DID I SAY I DO?

I had been privileged to share God’s secrets for a great marriage on more than 300 talk shows. For years, my wife Judy and I had been equipping and inspiring couples who wanted to take their marriages to the next level, in our FOR LOVERS ONLY seminar.

As the day grew near for me to walk my last daughter down the aisle and perform their marriage, I longed to pour into their lives the key marriage principles God had been teaching Judy and me.
