    Foreword

As someone who worked in the information technology (IT) industry for over three decades, I cannot place any limit on what human beings are capable of achieving. Today, the value of information technology cuts across national security, economic growth, international trade, and business development. Interestingly, with the turn of every page in this book, I found myself wondering why someone had not said out loud the forever-intelligent approach. I love the idea that Daniel has written a book that everyone silently has knowledge about and can clearly relate to. I found myself flipping each page in anticipation of what the next chapter presents. Put simply, this book is a fundamental guide for anyone who wants to master the science of achievement by utilizing the principles of infinite intelligence. For his part, the author showcases his life’s journey in a truly exceptional way! Daniel is smart, articulate, driven, and capable of leading people to change for the betterment of their lives.

I first met Daniel when he was a student in one of my project management classes at Colorado State University-Global Campus. He immediately stood out from the rest of the class, as he was always collaborative in the course room and his schoolwork was exceptional! It was a joy and a pleasure to interact with Daniel in the classroom and share his experiences on course content. After his graduation, Daniel sent me an email and reconnected with me. From then on, our conversations and dialogues transitioned to a mentor-mentee level. I quickly realized that I wanted to be part of whatever journey he was walking into and promised to help him achieve his dreams in any way I could. After all, I had mentors that guided me during the early stages of my professional career. I considered my support for Daniel as one of the many ways to pay back for the help that others provided me at the beginning of my career.

With my professional experience in IT innovation and business development, the idea of infinite intelligence standards makes practical sense. Essentially, IT professionals are always on the lookout for the newest and best technological innovations to not simply develop business applications but to lead innovation that helps accelerate human progress. But the thought occurred that maybe the best innovation might not be technical only. Rather, it includes the many trials and tribulations we go through as individuals that help shape our destinies. To this end, one should never relent to seek out and master the concept of infinite intelligence. Daniel’s book titled Forever Intelligent laid out unmatched concepts and analyses relating to the infinite intelligence standards (IIS). It is simply brilliant! I recommend it to anyone who seeks to learn and apply the principles of infinite intelligence while going through life’s journey.

This book is intended to be well used, so readers may refer back and forth from page to page, from one section to another. In chapter 1, Daniel reflects on how strategic curiosity propelled him to work through early life events and challenges while seeking to understand his infinite intelligence capabilities. Chapter 2 delves into trust and outlines a truly interesting concept based on a leadership trust model. Chapter 3 encourages the reader to assimilate how infinite intelligence with respect to the future can be realized through positive change. Chapter 4 touches on the topic of innovation as the answer to effectively utilizing infinite intelligence. Chapter 5 focuses on knowledge management and uses the knowledge management system (KMS) to explain how we can improve our unlimited abilities by adapting collective capability solutions. And finally, the last chapter inspires us to take positive steps and work to consistently enlighten our world. This can also be achieved by acting on individual intuition with the goal to improve oneself, our families, and the world at large.

In this book, each page reveals the depth and range of Daniel’s work on infinite intelligent standards not only in theory but also in practice. He reveals a rich and informative framework to help us seek our own paths to infinite intelligence. His work encourages and inspires us to engage ourselves in the journey of life with a new mindset that is focused on being forever intelligent. I truly encourage readers to use this book as intended. Refer from one page to the next page, from one chapter to the next chapter to seek and share with the world your personal testimonies of unlimited possibilities!

    Chapter 1

    Strategic Curiosity

In my lifetime, I have seen great wonders to believe that human beings indeed have unlimited capabilities. And while the source of our creative ability remains a controversial subject, at least to some people, I personally believe that God did not mince his words when he said in Genesis 1:26 (NIV): Let us make mankind in our image and likeness. Therefore, even with our many capabilities, especially those ideas that sometimes tend to make us glorify ourselves, I simply cannot fathom where else such an unmatched work of genius could have come from other than the Chief Creator himself, God Almighty. As I look back on my life, I begin to see how I was intentionally fashioned to live and fulfill a purpose that perhaps only seeks to keep making the universe a better and more beautiful place! Interestingly, the universe is already a masterpiece, and despite our many temporary constraints, mankind has what it takes to keep making it better each and every day.

In 2009, I began developing a key interest in global developments. I followed key issues in politics, religion, inventions, economic development, education, leadership, and technology. I read stories about unbelievable wonders. Through these stories, I learned about a world in which ordinary individuals turned impossible missions into probable causes. For a while, some of the stories appeared unreal and beyond my imagination. Questions like How could others set out to achieve things that many can barely dream of? Are some people just not ordinary? What is the role of social and economic privileges in the pursuit of destiny? The critical period between reading these stories and analyzing the paths of some great people pushed me to forge a new understanding about myself and the world around me. The new transition was not an easy journey for me. However, to bring you up to speed with my experience, I will share a few of the incredible stories of wonders that have so dearly shaped my life.

In West Africa, Liberia, a brilliant young kid with a humble beginning grew up to become vice president and subsequently, the twentieth president of the country. In 1965, he became the first Black president of the Baptist World Alliance in spite of the ongoing racial discrimination during the said period. He also supported the dream of a united Africa and held one of the pioneer conferences for this dream on Liberian soil in 1979. As if his illustrious capabilities were not enough, he literally became the first African head of state in his time to address a joint session of the United States Congress—an opportunity for world exposure that only a few African heads of states could dream of at the time. At home, despite the local challenges, he pushed a development philosophy called humanistic Capitalism. He described his new development system as a concept that seeks to place exclusive value on humans rather than perpetuating extreme materialism and corporate concentration. And even when many could not see it, he called for a fundamental restructuring of the United Nations (UN) over forty years ago. Today, there are many leaders around the world speaking on the same subject at the UN. This kid is called William R. Tolbert Jr. of Liberia.

In Florida, a kid born in an abandoned building on the floor grew up to become perhaps the best motivational speaker in the world. While growing up, however, he was declared educable mentally retarded and demoted from the fifth grade to the fourth grade. According to this kid, one particular high school teacher changed his life when the teacher told him that someone’s opinion of him does not have to become his reality. With no college training, he spent years trying to figure out his purpose in life. When it looked like he finally found something to believe in, the multiplicity of challenges he faced in building a business in corporate America only led him to accept that life is truly hard. Yet in his trademark motivational speech, he answered the call for many of us by saying that because life is hard, one has to do it hard. Today, that ordinary kid has developed himself into a man whose impeccable leadership qualities can no longer be ignored. He has not only delivered countless leadership teachings in the United States but in several parts of the world. Some even say that he is the world’s most sought-after motivational speaker. This kid’s name is Les Brown.

Another incredibly powerful story is the story of a kid from Austria whose life’s journey, including his progress, pains, and purpose ultimately became a global inspiration for so many of us. After becoming a renowned psychiatrist, his life eventually took an unfortunate U-turn. Fortunately for us, his personal struggles inspired him to provide the world with some of the greatest inspirations regarding our search for the meaning of life. In 1944, he and his family were transported to concentration camps (Auschwitz). While
