About this ebook
Squire never dreamed his gift would allow him to have vision into the plans of the enemy. He never imagined he would be chosen to raise a generation of warriors or that he would be the determining factor if they would win or lose. He certainly never thought his comrade would be female. He was wrong on all counts!

About the Author
To a generation of warriors being raised as an army. You will fear not men or death but him who rules over the eternal kingdom, that you might bring him praise, glory, and honor all the days of your life. It is to you I give this book.
In a distant galaxy, unknown and unseen to earth, is the planet Ackan. The planet, with the same environment as earth, has remained in the eons of time, but unknown to Ackan is the planet Domino. Domino is assigned to Ackan. Its mission is to keep it from dominating and overcoming an unseen battle that has prevailed since the beginning of time.
Although the people of Ackan have struggled with the unseen forces, most were unaware of its true existence, or that it is the force behind their daily problems and wars. Many assume it to be happenstance or by accident.
Above both planets, exists another planet—a kingdom actually—the Kingdom of Etral. It is a kingdom that is from the beginning before Ackan and Domino were brought into existence. This kingdom observes both planets and has determined to make the presence of Domino known to those on Ackan along with the hidden effects.
What was unknown is about to become known.
Chapter 1
Squire stopped to stare at the sunset. The purples and reds indicated the coming of a beautiful tomorrow, but the smile that played on his mouth was because of tonight. Tonight would be his declaration. Tonight, he would be declared a man. Just the thought caused him to lift his head taller and square his shoulders. Thirteen wasn’t old by any means, but the acknowledging ceremony that would be held tonight in his honor, would be his passage, his threshold into manhood. Not that he would be independent in his decision regarding his life. No, he would consult his father and uncles regarding his future, but today was his birthday, his commissioning.
A loud fluttering grabbed his attention. He turned to see a large flock of black birds ascend before him. His eyes searched to see if a predator was approaching. He was in this position—his head turned to the left and eyes searching when he heard the sound of horses’ hooves. It sounded like many, but when he turned, he saw only one descending from the sky. Squire stepped back, trying to decide if he was to run or to dive into the wheat field.
The large white stallion descended quickly. The rider, dressed in royal blue, carried a golden sword in his right hand. As he approached Squire, he quickly reached with his left hand to grab something placed about the back of the horse’s neck. With one swift motion, a golden mantle was swung, as one would throw a boomerang. The mantle moved swiftly forward then circled back, landing upon Squire’s shoulders. The weight knocked Squire to the ground. The rider dismounted quickly. He stood well over thirteen feet tall. Squire tried to draw back, but the weight of the mantle kept him pinned.
The messenger approached. His shoulders and arms were massive, and in his right hand was the golden sword. Squire tried to discern if this stranger’s intent was for harm or good. His rugged face showed determination to finish his assignment. His eyes flashed as he looked upon the young lad, and Squire found himself looking at the ground. If this was to be his end, he would show no fear. He calmly waited for what was next. Almost with compassion, as if he sensed what the young lad was feeling, the messenger placed the sword upon his right shoulder, as one would do if one was being knighted. Squire held his breath.
I have been sent to make known your calling and destiny. You have been called and commissioned to teach, train, and raise up mighty ones who will defeat those who would destroy your planet and those on it. The One who rules over Etral has decreed it. Call on Him for guidance.
The messenger then reached for the young lad’s right hand and placed it on the handle of the sword that had just been used to knight with. The weight caused Squire to open his eyes. As suddenly as the messenger appeared, he had mounted his horse and was gone.
Squire looked at the sword in his hand; it appeared to be made of pure gold, sharp. Its edges gleamed. He knew he could not be careless with it. As he turned it from one direction to the other, it suddenly vanished. Squire looked at where the sword had been. He could no longer see it, but he could definitely tell it was there—the weight was heavy in his hand. At the same moment, he realized the mantle’s weight was felt, but it was no longer seen. What am I to do now? He had barely thought the question when he knew the answer. As he moved about, the mantle lifted slightly, still there but no longer a burden to wear. He also knew he was to place the sword at his side from the hip down. He could reach down and feel it, but it no longer was attached to his hand.
Squire slowly rose; his eyes searched the sky, but no evidence remained of the messenger except for what had taken place to and within him. He knew in an instant he could share this with no one—not that anyone would believe it anyway. Who was he to receive such a commissioning? Besides, he’d been known for his wild imagination since he was a child. It was easy for him to slay giants and defeat armies with his sword. His sword. Once again, Squire reached down to feel the handle of the golden weapon. No, this was not his imagination, but if he told all that had taken place, no one would believe it to be so.
I’m to teach, train, and raise up warriors,
Squire repeated the words. How can that be? he wondered. He’d never fought and won anything, well, except for Irony, who lived down the street. That was no easy defeat. It took several tries before Irony admitted defeat and left him alone. Still, he had to believe what was spoken for he could feel the evidence of the weapons.
Realizing he must continue quickly, or he would be late to pick up the garments used in the ceremony. He couldn’t be late for this; it would indicate he was not ready to be commissioned. He picked up his step, nearly running, and reached Nown’s house. Gathering the garments,
