About this ebook

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth" is familiar to most as the first verse in the Bible. It describes the beginning of God's creation. It could be argued that first He created the angels and other beings that inhabited the third heaven with Him. But there is no argument among theologians that the angelic host was indeed created. The author sets forth the firstborn of that creation as Helel ben Shachar, which translates as Shining One, son of the dawn (or son of the Light). It is here between the Light (Jesus) and Helel ben Shachar (ultimately Lucifer) that the conflict of conflicts arises.

It is some of the particulars thereof wherein the author believes that some of the mysteries of the universe and thus the Bible can be found. In the Unseen War, the author digs in depth into the questions of what has caused the constant war, strife, and destruction on the planet Earth and throughout the solar system and Galaxy. Why is there such a dichotomy between the things that science bears witness to and what the Bible bears witness to? Could there be some mistranslation on both sides? As an engineer, he takes a scientific view of the planet, solar system, and the universe and puts great stock in scientific discovery. But as a Christian, he believes that the Bible is not only factual but inherently and infallibly factual. The Unseen War, as discussed in this book, as it spans the eons, the ages, and space, relates to the great mysteries of the faith. Many of them can be found there, in that conflict, which is yet to end.

    Introduction

This is not meant to be an exact account of something that I or anyone else have complete knowledge or revelation of no one except God (YHWH), that is. It is not meant to be a theological or linguistical study of the events that are recounted herein. It is meant to be what it is—an easy read of what I believe to be a historical record of the conflict between YHWH and the HaSatan (adversary) that has lasted for many, many, many years. I believe the term HaSatan to encompass many fallen entities, but I also believe that there is a leader, a guide, a director of this rebellion against the Most High. I, being an engineer by education and training, used my gifts of rational thought, research, and deductive reasoning and what I believe to be a revelation from God to instruct me in the items related in this book which I believe to be a loose historical account since the beginning (Genesis). When I say loose, I don’t mean something that is antibiblical. I believe that the Bible is the inherent Word of God, and if it makes a statement, then that statement is true. While truth can be subjective when viewed through our personal biases and strengths/weaknesses, the Word of God is objective and inspired.

Many disagree on the translation and meaning of various biblical themes, but as Alistair Begg, senior pastor of Cleveland Parkside Church, stated, The main things are plain things and the plain things are main things. My subjectivity has obviously influenced what I have written, but none of it is out of line with the basic tenets of scripture that point us toward salvation in Jesus Christ, the Savior and Lord of all men. The Bible is the foundation of all truth. My opinion will save no one, and neither will anyone else’s. Let God be true and every man a liar (Romans 3:4). This is one man’s attempt to try to give an overview of the war that has raged since some time after the creation of the heavens and the Earth. This is the culmination of many years of study of many books and other documents and the viewing of many documentaries concerning biblical, historical, traditional, and mythological themes. If it does nothing else, may it stir you to Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

The biblical account of the creation of time and space begins with the creation of the heavens and the Earth. Genesis 1:1 states, In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth. I believe that since the beginning (creation) that the Earth has been a special place to God and has contained His Eden and has always been where the eternal reaches down to touch the realm of time and space. The second heaven contains all the stars, planets, and other entities contained within this realm. That may be in the physical or the spiritual realm. Nowhere does it state that only the physical lives in the second heaven. In fact, the statement is plain in Scripture that the seen was created by God from the unseen (corporeal by and from the spiritual stated in Hebrews 11:3). In 1 Corinthians 15:39, the Bible states that there are many kinds of flesh (or materiality). There are also different kinds of bodies given to the life he created, some pertaining to Earth and some to the heavenlies. In this realm, to experience the physical aspects of time and space, you must have a physical body or an avatar. An avatar is something that embodies a life force (the soul and/or spirit). In Hinduism, the concept means descent. This concept is important to remember as I address the lives of the fallen spirit beings in a corporeal plane. In Hinduism, the god Vishnu appears in many corporeal forms in his avatars. He descends to the physical plane by taking a corporeal form. Most importantly, this is shown as a biblical truth in many Old and New Testament scriptures, including the appearance of the Angel of the Lord to Gideon, Abraham, Joshua, etc. in the Old Testament, and Hebrews 13:2 in the New Testament clearly shows that angels can take corporeal form.

The pleasures of the spirit realm are not the same as the pleasures of the physical realm. In the spirit, as stated in scripture, you have love, peace, joy, self-control, etc. (Galatians 5:22–23). These are the pleasures of a spirit-controlled life. Again, remember as you read this account that these spiritual pleasures are no longer available for either the fallen angels or demons (Jinn in Islam and Archons in Gnosticism). They must pleasure (feed) themselves with fallen spiritual actions (rage, hate, bitterness, lust, pride, etc.) or, in the case of entities, able to take on a physical presence by physical sensations caused by eating, having sex, taking drugs, etc. I will discuss these issues in further detail later.

    Chapter 1

    The Beginning

Hebrew tradition states that there is a hierarchy to the angelic host, that those created first were set over those created later. Jewish tradition also states that there were three archangels created to assist the Master Creator, the Word of God (Yeshua), the Light, with the work of creation. Their names were Michael (who is like God), Gabriel (God is my strength), and Helel (Shining One) or as one of the base parts of hallelujah (praise Yah). One worked beside the Word, one to perform the Word, and one to bring praise to the Word. It is the light bringer, Helel, who brought the light and voiced praise to and for the glorious works of the Most High in the beginning. It was these three that were the first of the angels that were created, the created angelic trinity, so to speak—one to image (emulate or mirror) the Father (Michael), one to mirror the Spirit (Gabriel), and one to mirror the Son (Helel). How extraordinary the war that would ensue between the Son and the one created to mirror Him. While the entire Godhead is part of the warfare that ensues from the self-exaltation of Helel, it is the Son that was and has always been the focus of that attack, from the fall to the Garden, to the temptation, to the end of the age, to the end of the Millennium.

Have you asked yourself, why is it the Son that is confronting and being confronted throughout time by HaSatan, the primary adversary? The light bringer versus the Light. The one who was created to mirror the Light versus the Light Himself. The one who brought the light to creation at the command of the Word versus the one who gave light to all creation. They created and rejoiced hand in hand, Helel and the Light, as they created the heavens and the Earth. When the Word would say, Let there be light, Helel would bring forth the light as the Shining One, the light bearer working side by side with the Light. Who was this Helel in the angelic hierarchy? Was he a nachash, a Shining One, a seraph? Yes. Does not his very name so state? Was he as well a guardian cherub? Yes. Does not Ezekiel say as much? Was he an archangel, a chief angel? Yes. One of the original chiefs. Helel participated with the Light, the Word, in creating His creation. He was all of these things and much more. He mirrored (imaged) the very Light Himself.

I would add that Plato, in his work Timaeus (which means to honor God), refers to the ouroboros (tail devourer) as the first living creature in existence. I will later show the connection between the ouroboros (circular symbol depicting a serpent or Dragon devouring its tail) and Helel. Projecting on this, it could mean that Helel was the elder brother—the first created by the Creator. Helel ben Shachar. The Shining One (the reflector of the light, the mirror), ben (son of) Shachar (the light, the morning). Who is the Light? The Creator, the Word, the Messiah, Jesus. Who then was the son of the Light? Clearly, Helel. In fact, the Light loved him so much that He gave him his own kingdom to rule which included the apple of God’s eye, the central location of God’s presence in the second heaven—Earth and Eden, which included all of the solar system and the Milky Way Galaxy.

Everyone is aware of the traditional and biblically supported story of how Helel (Lucifer in Latin) became proud, which led to his rebellion and eventual fall. Helel is described in Ezekiel as the seal of perfection. He represented the son in Eden as a guardian cherub and oversaw the development of the planets. Not with men, but rather with the sons of God (angels). The heavens and the Earth were created for the sons of God as an adventure land, a playground, so to speak. Think Holodeck on Star Trek, but as a whole universe. They could abide here and enjoy the wonders of this creation, as well as the wonders of the third heaven where the Most High kept His abode. Who was the best-looking? Helel. Who was the richest? Helel. Who was the boss? Helel. Who was the right-hand man to the Light? Helel. He served Yahweh faithfully for many, many, many years, and the second heaven prospered under the guidance of Helel. Each of the original three had one-third of the angels under their command to carry out their commands. Remember he was the seal of perfection.

Then it happened. Probably not all at once, but slowly like it does to most of us. He began to notice that he indeed was the best-looking, the richest, and the top dog. He had done well. Why even the Creator Himself could not have done a better job, he thought. He slowly began to take his eyes off of the Light and put it on the light bringer (himself). So why shouldn’t he be in charge? Why shouldn’t he be recognized as God? Why shouldn’t he, Helel, be the Most High? Until now the Scripture states that he was blameless, but he became violent in his dealings with lesser angels throughout the Galaxy and felt that he deserved more than he was getting. He hatched a plan to usurp the throne, but he would need support. He was very persuasive and full of wisdom. He cunningly began to manipulate and spread discord, much the same as he does among men in our time. He convinced his followers (one-third of all the angels created at that time) to follow him in a rebellion against the Most High, against the Light. Can you imagine what kind of story he must have told? This is why Jesus in John 8:44 calls him the father of lies. Why did God allow this? Why did he not stop him then? He had to have known. He is God and is omniscient. Every creation of God that has a will has to make a choice. That is why Jesus states in Matthew 12:30 that we are either for Him or against Him. This is not just true of us, but also of the angels. That is why He did not stop it. That is why He did not divinely intervene. That is why the war went on and on and on until all had made their choices.

I will also posit the following theory. The division of the angels into thirds has significance. Obviously as stated, it had to do with the three original archangels and the angels placed under them. But do not forget that each of the three, I believe, represented an aspect of the Trinity; and if the one-third that was expelled along with Helel were the sons (the Light’s), that means that He lost all of the angels that He led, that were His. Yet He never intervened. He never raised a hand. It was Michael that battled Helel and his army, not the Son, even though He could have made short work of Helel. You know the Son of God, the Angel of the Lord, the leader of the armies of God (Joshua 5:13–14). Why did He not react? Helel was His first creation. In fact, he was the firstborn of all creation. His partner in creation. His friend. His family. The firstborn son of God of all creation. He could have destroyed Helel, but He showed mercy, as He has to us. That act of kindness has led to what I believe to be millions, if not billions, of years of war. But still, the Light shines. Some may say that they don’t believe that scenario. Then I suggest that you study Zechariah 13:7–9:

Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, against the man who is my companion, declares the Lord of Hosts. Strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn My hand against the little ones. And in all the land, declares the Lord, two-thirds will be cut off and perish, but a third will be left in it. This third I will bring through the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are My people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’ (Zechariah 13:7–9)

Awake against the man who is my companion. Who is that? Helel. He was the Light’s companion. He gave him charge over mankind (Emperor of Mankind). When he fell, God’s hand was turned against mankind. A third was to be left. Not just a third of mankind from that time period, but a third of those that choose to follow the Light throughout the ages which will be culminated at the end of the Millennium. Not just in Israel, but in all the land. For then the Father will have replaced every single fallen angel to the very last fraction, so to speak, with a redeemed human son or daughter. Jesus, the God-Man who, as the Light, lost all of those that were designated as His, His very creation, now leads a family of sons and daughters, not of angels, but men and women. Every last one of the fallen angels will be replaced. That is why God has waited and continues to wait and has allowed the battle to rage on. When the children and the little ones are spoken of in the Bible, that does not simply refer to small children. This is a double reference. It refers also to mankind. We are so much younger in creation than the angelic host, and we are smaller than they are as well. For instance, in Matthew 18:6 Jesus states,

If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Who are the little ones? Quite obviously, those who believe in him. He is calling out the fallen ones and the demons and warning them of the danger of tempting, testing, or standing in our way. He will replace every single lost angel with a believer.

Still, the Son persists. People have asked, can the fallen angels be redeemed? I believe that it is not that they cannot be redeemed, as some believe, but that they choose not to be redeemed, including, above all, Helel—Lucifer, Satan.

There is a scene in the Christian film 40: The Temptation of Christ in which Lucifer, while in the midst of tempting Christ, is told by Jesus that He has come to seek and save those who are lost. Jesus shares the story of the lost lamb and leaving the 99 and how all can be redeemed if they so choose. Lucifer looked at Jesus and replied, Even me. Jesus reached his hand out toward Lucifer who reached toward Christ but turned away at the last moment. Lucifer could not humble himself to receive Christ’s offer, and so it has always been. That pride and bitterness, which permeate his entire kingdom, have always created the barrier that prevents not only Him, but also those imprisoned by it from going home (Isaiah 14:17), and they never will make that choice.

    Chapter 2

    The War

The war began and continues to this day and will continue until Satan is cast into the Lake of Fire, where he will be held forever and ever. This is not the battle in Revelation where Satan and his fallen ones are thrown to Earth, but rather the beginning of the end of the war that began millions of years ago. Revelation 12:4 states that the Dragon swept a third of the stars (angels) out of heaven (the spiritual theater or plane) and flung them to Earth (the physical/spiritual theater or plane in the second heaven). This is prior to the woman giving birth. How much prior? Revelation does not say. It is of importance to note that the picture painted in Revelation 12:4 is one of astronomical significance in that the description in the second portion of Revelation 12:4 gives an astronomical clue as to the date of the exact birth date of the Messiah.

Michael Heiser, in many different publications and YouTube presentations, gives a detailed breakdown of this issue, so I will not take the time to address it in any depth here. As an aside, the date, according to our calendar, that he and others arrive at by the way the stars had to be aligned to paint the astronomical picture detailed in Revelation 12:4 is September 11, 3 BC. But I bring this up here to proffer that if the second part of Revelation 12:4 can be astronomically interpreted, then would not the first part of Revelation 12:4 that stated that the Dragon swept one-third of the stars to this earthly plane be astronomically interpreted as well? If that is the case, then I pose this question: "When in our lifetime have one-third of the stars been swept from the heavens? None. So, if we assume that the Bible is correct and it occurred, it occurred many, many, many years before the time of the battle described in Revelation 12:9. Just as I believe that there was a large gap of time between the original creation of Genesis 1:1 and the recreation started in verse 2, I believe that there is also a large gap of time between these events. I understand that there are some that will give me some pushback on my reading of the two verses in Genesis (in light of Isaiah 45:18) and the two in Revelation, but based upon my study, deductive reasoning, and insight from the Holy Spirit, I believe my interpretation to be correct. I will not spend time defending my interpretation here since that is not the centerpiece of this story.

When it states that there was war in heaven, I believe the war was conducted in both the third heaven and throughout the second heaven. Revelation 12:4 states that the Dragon swept (to drag, draw, or force) one-third of the stars (angels) away and cast (put) them to (on) Earth (the second heaven). Sinful, rebellious behavior could not be allowed in the third heaven. That was God’s abode. The second heaven though was His creation, and it suffered along with the stars (angels) that were put here.

The great sci-fi movies of our day, I believe,
