About this ebook

This book speaks about a man who saw God appear in a pillar of clouds. He saw the glory of God enter into his home, and his whole house was full of God's glory. God's glory was so bright, this man could not look steadfastly on Him. He bowed submissively. In a blink of an eye, he was transformed into a light, and his body shone like the firmament of heaven. He heard the voice of God speaking, and His voice sounded like a mighty thunder. Beloved, after this experience, he came to this conclusion: no one can stand before God unless He permits you to. Words cannot express the great fear that I felt being in the presence of God. And I also cannot express the comfort that He gave to me. Beloved, this was the completion in which He appeared to me. Beloved, I am more than willing to testify to the entire world about what I saw and heard. This was not a dream, it was real. Even as Moses saw the burning bush, I also saw a burning bush twice, burning in real time as noted in the chapter "The Burning Bush." God also spoke to me in dreams and in visions as noted throughout this book. Now in all of these spiritual encounters, I am still not a righteous person; I am just an ordinary man. But there is one who is righteous altogether, and that is the One in whom I am well pleased. So I encourage every person who have the opportunity to read my testimony. My name is Lancelot, and this is my story.

    My Prayer

Father Almighty, I thank you for being an awesome God. You have been there all of my life, taking care of me. Lord, if it were not for Your support, I would not have made it this far. I am blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. Thank you for Your mercy despite my disobedience. Thank you for the many wonderful things You have been doing in my life. Thank you for lifting me up when I was down and for turning my life around. Thank You for replacing my sins with the wonderful blessing of forgiveness! I am not worthy of this kindness my Lord; bless the One in whom I am well pleased.

O Lord, thank you for the inspiration to write this book. Now teach me how to write correctly those things You showed me in dreams and in visions so those who are reading this may understand and come to glorify Your name. For Your name is worthy to be glorified for all of the wonderful things You do. Morning and evening Your loving mercy is extended to me. Great is Your faithfulness! My Lord, my desire for You supersedes all of my every need. O God of my fathers, thank you for the sacrifices You gave for my life through Jesus Christ. Thank you, now and forever, thank you.

    The Prescription

Today, I am persuaded to write this prescription for you because I am aware of your deficiency through the Holy Spirit. And so, I am willing to help you to overcome this spiritual deficiency. If you will allow me to do so, keep reading. From a child, I suffered from not reading God’s word enough and, also, not believing it for myself. And I continued living this way throughout my teenage years. I went to church sometimes, and therefore, I was aware of God, but I did not show enough interest in His word. So in my youthful years, I suffered from the lack thereof. But God, in His own time, helped my weak belief.

Beloved, I wish that everyone can and will read the word of God and have the understanding of what God requires of us. Then after understanding the requirements, we are to apply those things to our daily lives, proving that God is true and faithful altogether. But some people will not take the time to do so. So therefore, the Word of God is neglected in our homes and in our lives. And this neglect contributes to our spiritual deficiency. Many people are embracing this way of life, not knowing that this kind of practice is detrimental to their spiritual growth. Beloved, when we deny the spiritual man, it is not much different than denying the natural body the nutrients required for its development. Moreover, the spirit depends on the nutrients of the word for its development. Therefore, in this case, many are lost and spiritually malnourished.

But this spiritual deficiency can be overcome by taking heed of the word of God and by applying it to our daily living. Beloved, when you are hungry, you eat for yourself and not for another. But there is One who died not for Himself but for others. So after knowing this, I am willing to indulge in the pleasure given to me through Jesus Christ who took my wages on Himself and died for my transgressions. He gave me a chance to live through Him who now lives forever!

I am telling you this because I came to realize how important it is to know God’s word and to apply it in my daily living. The word of God revives me and brings me out of darkness into this light. And where I was spiritually malnourished, He fed me with His word, and it replenished me. The word of God also taught me how to interact with others. Beloved, the word of God is spiritual food. And the Spirit thrives on it!

    The Burning Bush

Many years ago in my childhood, I used to play with my friends under the streetlights after the sun went out from the valley. Sometimes, the moon would appear so bright and hung very low above the mountain top. I felt as if I could touch it with my hands. That’s how I felt back then, not knowing that everything that appeared close to you should not be touched. The light from the moon used to shine brightly across the mountain tops reflecting the hills and valleys in its passing, giving us enough light to play. From my vantage point, the column of light from the moon looked like a man with a flashlight, looking for a lost treasure among the trees. And He found it. After our playtime, we all went to our homes waiting for the night to pass so we can meet again the next evening. It was nice back then among the people who showed love and kindness to their neighbors and very little violence. You rarely heard of stealing and lying as this was not practiced among the people growing up in this village named Vermont, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. In this village, there was a great many fruit trees and all manner of foods and vegetables.

I remembered never being hungry because of the abundance of foods at my disposal. My friends and I used to pick the fruits and play sports with them. We had no fancy toys to play with back then, but we were still happy. It was nice living in the countryside, climbing the fruit trees and picking the fruits. Sometimes, I would pick the fruits from the low branches and would have my fill, gorging myself. My mother was a very good cook, but sometimes I could not eat her food because I was already full from all the fruits I had eaten. The people were nice and friendly in the neighborhood with a few grumpy folks here and there. So at harvesttime, some of the people who had gardens shared their produce with others. My parents had their own garden with all sorts of fruits and vegetables. We also had cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, and donkeys in the fields.

I helped out with all of these animals and worked in the garden helping my parents. They had since passed on, but my love for them still tarries. Sometimes, early in the morning, I had to take these animals out into the field and leave them for the entire day. Then I would return home and get ready for school. The school was about four miles from my house. I used to run most of the way barefoot. Sometimes, I would step on the small rocks which gave me blisters and bruises under my feet. And the pain from these bruises caused me to step aside and wait for
