About this ebook

The call of God is not just for a

select few but for everyone. Whether

I hear God’s call or not depends on the

condition of my ears, and exactly what

I hear depends on my spiritual attitude.

—Oswald Chambers

We are all children of God. How easy it is to forget this. God loves us all in the same way and in the same amount. It is a given, like the breath we draw each day, by each beat of our heart, by all that makes each of us holy.

Faith and love are important pieces of our lives. They may be all that keep us moving on in our journeys. Just as we begin life’s journey, beginning and continuing the journey is important in our spiritual lives. If we are looking for God, God is also looking for us. We have heard the saying, “Seek and you shall find.” This saying can never be truer than when we speak about searching for God and, more importantly, finding God.

The author had a transforming experience in the year 2000. God truly found him. This book, Drowning in God’s Love, is a record that chronicles the outcome of this experience. It provides the reader with a path to find this deeper relationship that we all seek. Hopefully, it will help the reader to find a way to a deeper relationship with God through the poetry and spiritual writing found here.

Kristi was born and raised in the plains and badland areas of Eastern Montana. It was a perfect place for imagination and adventure! She still resides in a small, Eastern Montana town with her two daughters, two cats, and two dogs. She enjoys spending time with the Lord and her family, writing, reading, editing, drawing, and binge-watching anime and TV shows or watching movies. She's a bit of a super-hero nerd (Spidey has always been her favorite), but she's an even bigger fan of Christian fiction and fantasy stories. Her favorite authors include C.S. Lewis, Vicki V. Lucas, Kristen Heitzmann, and Morgan L. Busse, just to name a few.

    Drowning in God's Love

    God's love flows in

    and fills my heart.

    I cannot be apart

    from this great place

    until I see God face-to-face.

    God is in all places.

    God sees me and looks

    on all my faces.

    They are many

    they shift and change.

But God is steadfast, true, and fast.

The love God sends will last and last

and fill me until it cannot hold

all that comes for me to behold.

Until I find that I am drowning in God's love

    and praise that day

when I return from where I came.
