About this ebook
From the abundance of her heart, Her mouth speaks. If you listen carefully You'll know she's not weak. The lessons she learned And the knowledge she earned Didn't come cheap. They cut her, and cut her deep Her heart became the best candidate To be God's perfect story host. But there are some things she's Not too proud to boast. The very things she hid on the inside Would have destroyed her even the more. But because of the love of God, Her heart He'd one day restore. All that she went through was the Spark to light the fuse. And with that spark, her heart's story God could finally use.

From the Abundance of the Heart - Quashanda Davis
Black Love
Hurting from deep down under.
Will things ever be the same, I wonder?
Bruised shamelessly with.
Don’t ever want to feel black love again.
Mind is pulling me one direction
And my heart another.
This isn’t what was taught to me by mother.
It’s either all in or nothing.
Building up many strong walls
To protect your heart when black love falls.
Never planned to feel this way
But constantly fell into it by the day.
So blinded by the affections you showed
That I ignored every lie they told.
Bitterness, hatred, and discomfort
All symptoms that are never for comfort.
It has no color, no gender, nor age
It’s the first and last of the black love stage.
Some think it’s a spell or even a curse
But just think it could be worse.
You can’t run or even hide
Just face the fact that black love lives inside.
Nowhere to Be Found
A young heart and soul-seeking love,
But nowhere to be found.
Looking day in day out
Not even a sweet sound.
Too young to fend for herself
Yet she still cries out for help.
Constantly bruised and hurt
Most days she felt lower then dirt.
Hate, envy, and rage.
It’s in every book on every page.
Her life, your life
Shall we compare the two?
You grew up with a silver spoon
And hers was merely blue.
Your chair’s comfy and table full of meat
Her chair’s
