Los Versos del Aguazul - El Aguazul
Untitled
Among strangers once again after all this time,
Like a melody that is set to rhyme;
Since November 9, 1990, the world became
all a fright!
Visiting the ruins of the USA, almost having gone
astray,
Like holding mad dogs off at bay,
The end of the world started that day!
I had started there some four years aft; it’s still
The same—you could have laughed!
Since that dreadful day—all alone.
The war on terror called me home.
I was to be sacrificed you see,
To a war on terror yet to be!

Recollections I
Small efficiency up on the refrigerator,
my TV;
A small place, but no disgrace and a lot
of work you see!
A Saturday and no small play;
upon my life you see.
A deadly bat and his band of rats
out of the kitchen darkness he!
Did attack and tried to murder
me!
A deadly fight to his delight,
but I prevailed you see!
No small play fourteen years at bay
and War on Terror upon thee!

Me fui a los trabajos
Hace quince anos pasados;
Me fui a los trabajos,
Y nunca he regresado.
Me fui a los trabajos
Muy disolucionado;
Con los tiempos y las viviendas,
Muy mortificado.
Quince anos enteros
Hace que me fui.
A solas y disolucionado
No me arrenpenti!
A solas y disolucionado
Mortificado por ti;
A solas y a solas
Trabajo por mi.

Winter and a long hard year;
Nary time to stop and fear!
Winter’s song is scarcely heard;
And yet, it’s there hushed on earth!
Step by step and day by day—
Hardly any time to play!
Hardly a person’s step is heard,
And yet, they’re there and soft on earth.
Staunch winter, and yet, ’tis soft
Snow tho’ some is still aloft.
Winter’s song is scarcely heard;
And yet, its footstep’s stilled on earth!

It is difficult to write and tell about
The world that is a tell-a-bout.
What utterings, what slang!
What indulgent speech with which to wang!
It is hard to walk and run about,
In a world that is entangled roundabout.
What shusherings for gadabouts,
What incessant tongues for pranks!
Time was when we heard about,
A time we lived to tell about.
What waves of sound a-fling!
Life an unimportant thing?
I remember the blue chair you see,
In a small Dallas efficiency,
I was looking up at my TV,
Deadly killers in my house,
I was not that easy there to roust!
A deadly symbol and a strike to kill,
A man stood up and met the chill;
The strike came from the great beyond,
The killers there at heaven’s gate;
The killer’s strike was made, but late!
The war on terror speaks to all,
But there alone I was meant to fall;
Like Humpty Dumpty from the wall!
I remember the blue chair in my house!
A week of work and I was tired you see,
I was looking up at my TV,
There on top of the refrigerator,
In my small Dallas efficiency!
A symbol of the Bat was flashed,
A cobra’s blinding venom, and the,
Talons of a hawk were at my chest.
The war on terror tells the rest!

In 2005 and man alive! The end of the world and all that
Jive! 2005. They almost scored! The USA was the last
Word. The war to end all wars was launched in Beltline
Dallas overflowed. The eternal flame went out and the
Omen General was at Davis Street in staff car and four stars;
The pope also visited that town—an ol’ cowboy town grown
Up in a circle and gotten too big for its britches—the latter
Day rains were launched that day November 9, 1990 almost
Anniversary of having gotten work you see! The War On
Terror had begun! A flashing bat, a cobra’s smoke, the
Deadly killers, it’s no joke! A crystalline structured hawk—
A talon’s grasp! The death strike of a lowly asp. In 2005
