About this ebook
In 2 Timothy 2:3, it declares, "Thou therefore endure hardness as good soldier of Jesus Christ." This verse of scripture tells in a nutshell what living sacrifice is all about. Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come, this clearly depicts the life of every Christian believer who is sold out and fully committed to the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We must suffer, endure hardness, and persevere for this great work that was hand down to us with all boldness, courage, determination, soundness of mind, and love. As the Lord opened my dark understanding, I now know that Christianity is more than what meets the eye, and some lessons can only be learned through experiences.
Our daily walk is a step-by-step process; some days, we will be pressed like the olive to extract its oil, crushed like the grape to extract its juice, and grind and melt in the fire like the ore to extract pure gold. Our process as Christians is never easy but necessary. Look how rich and costly the olive oil is at the end of its process; it is used worldwide in every church as it represents the blood of Jesus when consecrated by an anointed man or woman of God. See how expensive and valuable grape juice and wine are in today's society; our famous Christmas cake recipe would be incomplete without it. Finally, gold is the most expensive of its kind and is used for various purposes such as in medicine, dentistry, electronics and computers, medal and statues, and jewelry.
We are all a part of God's masterplan and purpose here on earth, and it's our responsibility to seek Him, come what may, to know who we are and what purpose we serve in the church or the body of Christ. Just like the olive, the grape, and the gold, we all have a specific purpose as children of God, but we must endure the process to function effectively in the capacity unto which we were called.
He knoweth the way that I take, when He hath tried me I shall come forth as gold.
--Job 23:10

Introduction
Throughout my life, I’ve received and bought books that I do not read, to be honest. Upon my research, I realize that I’m not the only one guilty of this horrible act. Many of us buy books for various reasons; some of us got the books we have because everyone was getting one or because we only want to brag and boast that we have the latest book by a popular author or for a gift or because you simply need that book. Whatever our reasons are for buying a book, it does no good for us if we do not read it. Personally, my number one reason for not reading some books is because it reminds me of an encyclopedia. It’s just too much like I will never finish reading it. My second reason for not reading some books is because it’s too complexed having me reading one sentence over ten times, and I still don’t get it; very hard to understand. Not only that, but with some books, there is no real connection between the author and the reader. According to intellect, it’s very well put together, but what about bringing me into your world? Not the one you created to seem so well and nicely put together but your real world, your reality, the honest, and true you? For example, every preacher can tell you they know how to get the congregation riled up. Skipping, dancing, jumping, and speaking in tongues, but is that what the spirit of God needs at that time for his people? We can do what makes us look good and popular before men, or we can do as the spirit God leads us.
Living Sacrifice will bring you into my real world, which I realize that majority of us have that same real-world living in under pretense and cover-up. This book will take you through different levels of the process, which every Christian believer must go through. Finally, those who are silent will have a voice through this book. Those who are confused, frustrated, and ignorant about what they are facing will understand through this book. If you understood what you are struggling with or battling with, it would be more bearable. You will finally see that there is nothing wrong with you and that you are not alone and not crazy. I share with us my hands-on experiences and lessons I have learned from mistakes and situations that I found myself in. Real struggle, pain, and hardship about the many times I wished I would disappear out of this world and the many times I felt to give up or to run away. My reality was too unbearable and seemed impossible of changing to become who God said I am. This is not just another book released to add to your collection of unread books. This is not just another book that will ignore the pain of the hidden cries you have, wishing someone would see and understand. Your brokenness, wounds, heartaches, hurts, tears, you name it, will all be manifested to you in this book. Before you get through reading Living Sacrifice, you will encounter a changed heart and mind, which is necessary for healing and restoration. You will find ways to endure your process by trusting God and the plan that He has for your life, which will carry you to victory.
I’m happy for you as you read because your time of exaltation, miracles, and overflowed blessings (both spiritually and physically) are at hand.
A Place of Sacrifice
Ibeseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1). The Lord Jesus Christ desires us to be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto Him, and it is our reasonable service: What is a sacrifice? Note that it was described as a reasonable service , which means God is not asking much of us because He is a just God, and He knows what we are able to bear and will not give us more than the allotted amount. Yet, sometimes, as we face our persecutions and trials, it feels so unbearable almost as if we will not survive, but yet, somehow, we overcame whatsoever we’ve endured. This shows forth the promise of God, which is true; He will not give us more than we can bear.
Let us take a closer look at the word sacrifice. What is a sacrifice? According to the online Oxford Dictionary, a sacrifice is an act of slaughtering an animal or person or surrendering a possession unto a deity. When I hear the word slaughter, the first thing that comes to my mind is to kill, which simply means death. Upon doing this research about sacrifice, the burnt offering and the brazen altar came out at me. Let us look into them a little. The burnt offering, according to online Wikipedia, was first used by Noah as a
