Introduction
Dealing with death isn’t easy for teenagers, but for nineteen-year-old Missy, it was especially more challenging. Missy never had a relationship with her grandma.
To her, Grandma was cold and distant and incapable of loving someone. It wasn’t until Missy found Grandma’s hidden diary that she realized the true depth of Grandma’s love.
Chapter 1
The Missed Calls
Missy hummed her favorite song as she walked briskly to the corner cafe. She had just completed her second semester, and her sparkling blue eyes were craving adventure and fun. The sun was just starting to emerge from behind the clouds, and a soft westerly breeze began to warm the air.
I’d like a vanilla latte,
Missy asked anxiously. The cafe was busy as there were many students trying to cram for their last exams. Missy then proceeded to navigate across the crowded room to an occupied table. She could hear the regulars arguing their political views at a nearby table, and another college was contently seated in the corner.
I’d better review my plans for the upcoming break,
Missy thought pensively. After four painstaking long months, Missy was anxious to enjoy the summer. While searching her phone for the list of contacts, Missy noticed that she had three missed calls. Hmm. I wonder why I didn’t hear the phone ring,
