Divinely Poetic

In the year 2020 when Covid touched down - so did the madness. Our world seemingly turned upside down and backward. My office was closed and folks had to work from home. When I realized the serious/negative impact this was having on my colleagues and those around me - I started to write words of encouragement - every day. I would send an email every morning to the Team - to cheer, inspire, motivate, and encourage them - to keep on keeping on.

During one of our online staff meetings - the staff spoke about how much my daily connection and words of inspiration meant to them. They spoke of the impact it had on them - giving them a sense of hope, laughter, and peace.

My 2 cents made a difference. A positive difference. A life-long difference. It felt good.

I thought to myself - 'why not share this positivity with the world - they could benefit from feeling some sense of hope and peace.

As I tried to figure out how to go about getting all this down on paper - I decided to add my poetry - and voila.... Divinely Poetic was created.

I truly hope that you will find a smile, encouragement, or some level of hope within these lines.

My heartfelt appreciation, gratitude, and thanks go out to my family and friends who encouraged, instructed, pressured, and gently shamed me into finally doing something with my poetry writing. Thank you for seeing the talent and gift in me—believing I had the means and the potential to get my writings in a book.

To my husband who looked at me like I had two heads when I told him I was writing a book—thank you for always being supportive of me in all my endeavors.

Thanks to my 3 boys who always cheered me on and were my audience as I rehearsed my poems.

The good book says, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
