Following Jesus' Daily Footsteps: The four gospels combined in chronological order

The phrase "It is a God thing" is often used today. Karen says she senses God's presence daily but doesn't regularly use that phrase. With this book, however, she is deeply aware that it really is a God thing from beginning to end starting back in 1968 when she was a new child of God and received a Bible with the J. B. Phillips paraphrase. She wanted to read of Jesus' daily activities but could only combine the Scriptures for each activity. She didn't know how to put them in chronological order until discovering her husband's Harmony of the Gospels book. She has combined the Gospels and put them in chronological order and hopes it will be helpful to others.

Each activity of Jesus is titled with the exact Scripture written below the title for further research if one wishes.

All Scriptures are printed in color to make it easy to know which apostle is talking as well as easily see which of the four apostles have written about the same incident.

Any quotes the apostles use from the Old Testament is in yet a different color with its reference included.

When more than one apostle tells the same story but remembers it differently, a slash (/) is used, and both are included in the text.

There is a table of contents for each of the apostle's book and a table of contents for each activity.

About the Author

I am dedicating this work to the love of my life, Ralph Thomas Miller, with whom I shared fifty-three years. Ralph loved the Lord and was instrumental in my understanding of the Gospel and the sacrificial gift of Jesus. I began compiling this book during the time Ralph was suffering with bone cancer and at home. He loved languages and was much better at proofreading than I. It delighted me to see how much real joy he felt every time he read through what I had completed.

Without realizing it, he prepared me for living a single life. He wasn't afraid to learn new things and tackle matters of concern previously unknown to him or to find out who to ask or where to look for help. By watching him and working alongside of him, I have been able to climb what seemed like a high mountain until my life finally took on a familiar routine once again after his death.

I would also like to dedicate this work to our children, Marla and Richard. Ralph's heart burst with love and joy the day Marla was born. He loved her so completely. He enjoyed her laugh, her smile, the twinkle in her eyes, and then watching her grow and mature as a woman of God. Rich and Ralph enjoyed working and playing together especially while living on our farm. Later, as Rich became an adult, Ralph watched how he faced difficult times especially during his years in the corporate world. Ralph very much admired him for the way he resolved many hard issues. Often during Ralph's challenges, his spirit was refreshed and calmed after discussing the situation with Rich.

We are truly blessed that both children love the Lord and are leading their children to do the same.
