Blessings Upon Blessings - Luchrisa Valentine

    Blessing

Ablessing is the words or acts of a person who blesses; it's a unique favor or benefit. God's favor and protection is a gift granted by Him, thereby bringing happiness. It invokes God's blessing upon a person. A blessing involves asking for aid from Him. It is God's request to bestow good of any kind upon someone or something; to praise enthusiastically as Holy; glorify; to protect or guard against evil. God's initial plan was to bless us with a life of fulfillment and peace with Him. Sin ruined that plan, but He gives us the utmost blessing of restoration, forgiveness, and eternal life through Jesus.

Beatitude is a word that comes from the Latin phrase "beatitudo," meaning "blessedness. The phrase blessed are" in each beatitude implies a current state of happiness or well-being. This expression holds a powerful meaning of divine joy and perfect happiness. Jesus speaks of blessings in the beatitudes. (see Matthew 5:3-10) You can have the ultimate pleasure of joy, no matter what is happening in your life, by trusting God. Jesus is with you through all your trials and troubles. You draw closer to and rest in Him when you go through trials and struggles. He blesses you with His wisdom, presence, grace, strength, and compassion. Troubled times can push you to your limit and leave you with no other choice but to lay them at His feet. The greatest blessings are to be able to rest in God's arms and depend on His strength. You can be strengthened, refreshed, and energized by His living word. Remember, He has done and is doing great things in your life! Now celebrate!

A year ago, in November 2019, I did something interesting. The entire month, I decided to give God thanksgiving and praise and not ask Him for anything for myself. The spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and material results were amazing. His peace and joy engulfed me! Things became so easy to gain! Doors of opportunity flew open! You have never felt so good in your spirit every day! Choosing to give Him praise and thanks for the blessings you already have and the ones you're waiting for will usher you into His presence. Everything you need is in Him. Your heart is filled with joy, peace, and hope. It's not just a cliché. It is true when praises go up; blessings do come down!
