About this ebook

Are you ready to live a new life? Some say “time heals everything,” but I’ve found this is not true—it’s what you do with that time. Just passing time with the same old hurts and mindset does nothing to heal you. In fact, it may make it worse!
Are you stuck in a place where your mind and heart are full of betrayal, grief, loss, or hopeless existence? Consider the areas of your life that could be transformed by an attitude of celebration, and make a determined choice to celebrate at every opportunity.
Psalms 30:5 (KJV) says that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” By God’s grace, this book will show you how to move forward and begin to live again in a new chapter of life.

    About the Author

    Foreword

I thank you for writing about such a pertinent issue. It is one of the keys to successful Christianity and is certainly a revelatory subject. Once it is acted upon in our hearts, many of the secrets of God come to our assistance. Celebration is undoubtedly a vital key for progress in the church. Your hard work in creating this book will be a blessing to many in the days ahead.

    Acknowledgment

My sincere thanks to Pastor Kenneth Sullivan for his many years of teaching and ministry. His support and his friendship specifically are the inspiration that has made this book possible. As my family and I endured much hardship and loss, his ministry and example over the years have been a strength and encouragement to allow God's power to restore and heal us.

Thanks also to the great men of God that have been my pastors, Rev. Lorian Hedger and Rev. Fred Hartley, for their many years of mentoring, guidance, inspiration, and instruction. Also, Rev. Dean Deascentis for his much-needed support and help navigating through the darkest of times. They have instilled in me a love for the things of God and a desire to please God in every facet of my life. I have been blessed to have great men and women in my life who share a love for truth and the things of God.

Thanks to my wife and family for their continued support and understanding through many difficulties and celebrating with me through the hardships of life. Their encouragement and help have made this book possible.

Special thanks to my mother, who is a godly example to myself and others and has always encouraged and believed in me.

    Introduction

Throughout the centuries, people and cultures have been identified by what and how they celebrate. It often shows us what that community or that people value most. People who are farmers celebrate the harvest. Native people who live off the land celebrate the time to hunt and gather food.

As human beings and especially as people who love God, we should also celebrate the things we value—loving God, loving family, and the many blessings that come our way. Loving truth and seeing God transform lives should excite us, and this should all be cause to celebrate. We must remember to celebrate the things that matter most.

Observing a small child is a good way to start to regain our understanding for celebrating in our daily lives. It isn't complicated unless we make it so. I've seen children celebrate and get excited over things that cost little or nothing—a new box of crayons, a popsicle, a trip to the park, a new friend.

Children can be excited and happy over simple things, and Jesus said, Except you become as one of these, you shall not enter into the kingdom. Let's recognize the lesson here. There really is a simplicity about celebrating.

The Word of God has many references to celebration and specifically calls out times to rejoice and celebrate the things God has done in our lives. This book is founded on that revelation of God's love and his desire for us to experience joy in our daily lives. Sadly, many people and amazingly even Christians don't experience the joy that God wants us to have.

If we are to develop an attitude of celebration in our lives, it requires a true revelation of the power, spiritual strength, and overall mental and emotional health we gain
