About this ebook

He shakes his head. "You're going to stay at my place tonight."

I gape at him. "Um, what?" Maybe I heard him wrong.

He repeats, enunciating every word, "You're. Going. To. Stay. At. My. Place. Tonight."

My pulse races as I ask, "Why?"

"You might still be a security risk."

When I manage to tear myself away from taking Buzzfeed quizzes and watching unhealthy amounts of TV, I write romance and smut. My works feature alpha males, sexy times, and/or my sarcastic sense of humor. I hail from Cleveland, aka the best freaking city in the world, and believe LeBron James is the perfect human being. Despite all of my efforts, I have never truly been able to quit caffeine. My problematic favorites include Taylor Swift and Gone with the Wind. I love to hate/hate to love k-dramas. If I say I’m on a diet, I’m just lying to you and myself. One of these days, I'm going to get hypertension from an excess of salt, both literal and figurative. If I'm awkward around you, I probably don't know what to say to you and/or I think you're hot. And despite what anyone says, Forrest Gump so deserved that Oscar over Pulp Fiction.

    I NORMALLY WOULDN’T crash a party.

But when it comes to free food, I’d do a lot of things I normally wouldn’t do. Do you know how many surveys I filled out because they promised me a free sandwich? Too damn many.

A tiny shard of guilt enters me when I sneak into the hotel ballroom. Not only am I crashing a party, but I’m crashing a wedding party.

Across the ballroom, I see the bride looking positively radiant in her white dress. When I catch her looking at her new husband with so much love on her face, the tiny shard of guilt becomes a big one.

Then I see all of the food on the long white table, and the shard promptly evaporates. Surely, with that much food, the bride and groom wouldn’t notice if an extra slice of cake or hors d’oeuvre were missing.

My conscience shouts at me futilely as I fill a plate with oysters, bacon-wrapped dates, ahi tuna sashimi, and a slice of white wedding cake.

I go sit in a chair in the corner, far, far away from the wedding photographer. It would be
