About this ebook
Dylan Graves remembers the days of writing. A time before he was a father of two and a loving husband. A time when he drank heavily and tried to become a short story writer, while trying to start a novella.

The Day's of Writing - Shane Grey
INTRODUCTION
From the Desk of: Dylan Graves
As I watch my wife cook dinner, she's pregnant with our second child. As I watch my two year old daughter try to feed a granola bar to her stuffed elephant. I realize I am far from THERE.
Where I am now is so far from THERE.
The drinking. The writing. Being a bachelor. The long nights working at the mad house. Being alone. Seeing a woman and really connecting with them only to push them away.
All of it now so far away.
I feel it's also important to mention to younger folks out there consuming my work that my time was before the concept of being woke
or politically correct. We called each other fags
we talked about a girls pussy and tits and even her ass.
We didn't give a fuck about who was sitting president.
If you were fat we let you know it. If you were too skinny, we told you so. If you were a female or from a foreign land we made fun of you.
We drank and we played songs. We slept and we made love. We REALLY lived.
Some of us died but all of us went through shit not everyone would understand.
And at the end of the it all we still got up and went to work.
And no we didn't complain. We just kept our heads down and we drank.
I will say some of the locations, activities, and names in some cases have been changed to prevent embarrassment or otherwise to unsuspecting parties.
Enjoy the story!

The problem with mixing drinking and writing is that you forget where you left off. In some cases I would forget where I left a notebook or what folder I saved the document to on my computer. In some other cases I drank so much I fell flat on my face through the desk.
It was unpredictable to say the least.
Another issue was I couldn't stop editing as I wrote. After each sentence typed I would go back and start editing what I just wrote instead of moving forward. If I were really drunk and it was almost sun up I
