Rosarium always wanted a Debonair, but there was just one problem with that dream. The Debonairs didn’t want her or were already taken. The ones who didn’t want Rosarium had no legit or legal reason to deny her requests. Every time she approached a Debonair of either gender, they would humor her at first, lead her on to believe they would accept her proposal to become their battle companion, but the routine was so obvious to Rosarium anymore, she knew what the outcome would be. Every time she got a call back for an interview, Rosarium would go to one and the end results were always the same. Meet and greet, fear in their eyes, awkward conversation and she wondered why even bother if that was going to be the Debonairs reactions?
Why were their nervous eyes always on the door behind her and why did she have to be so good at knowing what they were thinking the moment they took in her naturally masculine appearance? Rosarium didn’t have the answers to any of these questions and it pained her that she didn’t. Just like it pained her to stand up in the middle of each interview and end the mind games before flipping her ponytail over her broad shoulders and showing herself out of the room. It would appear Rosarium would be alone for the remainder of her militia career and only have the companionship of her already established friends, like Neptunium, Ion, Elder Lithium and a few others. They were nice to have around, but Rosarium secretly was jealous of them all.
