I love working from home!
I have been working from home since 2014, and it's been great!
For me, working from home
is not about literally working from my house but about having the freedom to work from anywhere.
I have been able to work from the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. South East Asia is one of my favorite places to stay because of the weather, fascinating culture, low cost of living, and good food. Traveling makes me feel a sense of freedom that I don't get from an office.
To be honest, I don't even have to leave the USA to have a good time and feel free. Staycations are also nice. A staycation is where you just go to another city or state and hang out. I have hung out in Las Vegas, Aspen, Vail, Los Angeles, Miami, and other places. I do my regular hours of work, and then, after work, I go check out an art museum with my family, eat at amazing restaurants that are famous with the locals, or just go for a walk downtown.
Before COVID-19, it was harder to get a work from home position. But now, these remote positions are everywhere. During the lockdown, it became a necessity to have remote work capabilities.
As a result, it's now easier than ever to become a remote worker. Some companies have reported seeing an increase in productivity after allowing workers to work from home.
As of 2022, 10% of U.S. employees work from home. According to a
