Introduction
Learning languages with short stories is a fun and effective way to increase your language skills. By using this method, you can advance faster and more naturally.
We have written this book for beginners and written engaging stories to make your language learning fun. These stories have been graded CEF (Common European Framework for Languages) A2 – Beginner.
First, you start by reading the vocabulary words, becoming familiar with them. Then you read the passage in Czech and try to understand the meaning of each word as it is used in context. After that, you can answer a few questions about the story. This allows you to practice translating from Czech to English and vice versa. Lastly, you reread the passage in English to check your understanding of the material. This will reinforce what you have learned from the short text and give you confidence in speaking or writing about it. With repetition of this learning process, you’ll be able to improve your language proficiency quickly and effectively.

Letná noc byla jasná díky plné měsíci, který rozzářil starobylé město Praha. Byl to ideální nastavení pro občerstvující procházku. Michael a Clara se rozhodli prozkoumat oblast kolem jejich hotelu, a tak vyrazili pěšky. Přešli Karlův most, který spojoval Staroměstské náměstí s Malou Stranou dole. Výhled na panorama města lesknoucího se ve svitu měsíce byl dechberoucí.
Když pokračovali v chůzi, narazili na sochu Jana z Nepomuku, podle legendy dal svůj život za ochranu tajemství české královny. Také se setkali s černým kočičem, což bylo znamením špatného štěstí dle české tradice. Ale ani jeden se nezdál příliš znepokojen touto pověrou a pokračoval ve své cestě.
Pár dorazil na Václavské náměstí, kde si odpočinuli a pozorovali lidi okolo sebe mezitím, co si pochutnali na zmrzlinu. Životaplná atmosféra rušného náměstí dodala unikátnost jejich večerní procházky.
