The Christmas Eve Ghost - James Shannon Abney
Prologue
Did you ever get the feeling that someone was watching you when you were alone in the dark? Or hear a voice right before you woke up? Had you ever been suddenly jarred awake in the middle of the night when your bed moved as if someone just sat down on the edge of it?
What about seeing a reflection out the corner of your eye of a person in a window or a mirror but was gone the instant you look directly at it? Did you ever hear whispers while you lay in the dark waiting for sleep?
Had your pet dog ever stared at a bare wall growling? How many times had you suddenly felt like someone just lightly touched your arm or the back of your neck?
Had you ever become uneasy or nervous for no explainable reason or passed a stranger that made all your senses tingle?
Ever felt a chill in the middle of a hot summer night?
You may have come in contact with a restless ghost, the spirit of a dead person that you may not even have known. They probably did not mean you any harm; you just sensed their presence.
You can actually sense a ghost, see a ghost, or be a ghost. Everyone senses ghost; some see ghost, but everyone becomes a ghost until Judgment Day with the Second Coming of Christ.
Ghosts are spirits that haven’t crossed over yet. People who can talk to them are said to have a sixth sense or a second sight. People with this extrasensory perception are called clairvoyant, seers, or psychics.
Sometimes because of a trauma or a life-changing experience, an average person can be visited by a ghost. Often these troubled ghosts have some unresolved problem that is keeping them from their otherwise peaceful sleep awaiting their judgment.
What if someone you knew was dead, and they came to visit you? What if they wanted you to meet them once a year at the same place and
