Chapter 1: This is me just thinking... What I want to do?
The first thing that you need to figure it out is how much time you have available to invest in the motorsport’s scenery. That answer, is individual and very personal. Each person has a very different situation which position you in a bracket where can spend either every weekend at the track, or just visit it only once a year. That point of reference will dictate where are you with respect which path that you must follow. This will dictate and will help you to tune your skills and understand your position as a race car driver, or not, and how much money makes sense to invest in the sport.
Here I will describe three most common track disciplines available at the US speedways that are available on from an amateur level up to a Pro level that involve twisty roads. The set of skills needed it to become a road race car driver are completely different of those needed it for other disciplines like oval, rally, drifting or drag racing. The most common road and track events are Autocross, Track Days and Road Racing. Starting with Autocross as the entry level and
