Jesus Christ Rising Son

About this ebook
This cantata (without music) presents a biblical perspective to the closing scenes of a divine incarnation. This is the glorious sequel of what seemed like an ignominious defeat, to the small band of followers.
How, in a past retelling, the treacherous, deceitful and thieving traitor could be portrayed as the misunderstood protagonist, says more about the human mind than it does about the biblical record. When one strips transcendent love from the central drama of history, and tries to interpret a perfect sacrifice as a confused human tragedy, then, of course, the rising Son is overlooked. This story offers eternal hope and a solution for mankind’s fumbling about in the darkness of meaninglessness. Light and life are what Jesus came to bring; he did both when he conquered death and the grave.
In writing, each of these poems were associated with tunes in my head. Alas, I have no musical talent and those tunes will need to be rediscovered by anyone with the inclination.

What does a retired teacher do? Especially a teacher with a hyperactive imagination and ingrained work habits. Well this one writes. And being a Christian, each novel I have written necessarily is pieced together from a Christian perspective.I have a broad range of interests which include science and technology, mathematics, travel, sports and the interrelationship of people. Much of what intrigues me about people is that some pursue truth with the determination of a bloodhound while others almost ignore existential ideas and while away their short time spent on earth being distracted by people or pleasures or possessions or power.Writing is a hobby. It allows me to research and self educate, and it also permits me to refine my perspectives of concepts existential and theological.

"Let me tell you a story that starts ending a life.
It looks like a tragedy filled with pain and strife.
And yet as I watched the message in his face
Said it was a victory, a story of grace
"A Roman centurion am I,
I’m trained in the art of war
Just standing and watching a man die
And I’m overcome with awe
"Surely this man is really a king
And surely he knows why he’s here
Surely his purpose is being fulfilled
His ev-ry word makes
