    Chapter 1

Boat Trip or trip on the boat

    [pre-history.]

Good evening, dear friends. Welcome to our event, I am with you today, Klausa Grant, the semi-finalist of the model show Nice Together. I have the honor to be the host at such an important event of our brand Global Ukraine. Today we will welcome our new ambassadors, and I will personally answer their questions, sharing my experience. Well… welcome to the stage…

Finally, the show is over. Difficult Thursday was, however. All organizers, presenters, operators are exhausted. But luckily everything went well. Dear guests of the event also gradually went home.

‘Excellent work, Miss Grant.’ Said one of the big shots of the evening.

‘Thank you.’ Answered Klausa with a sweet smile.

‘My name is Gray Jordan, I’ve seen you many times on Nice Together, I must say I’m stunned by your beauty.’

‘Thank you sir, I need …’ - not having time to finish, the girl was interrupted by a young man.

‘Are you free on Saturday evening? I would be glad to have the honor of walking with you along the coast.’ The young man smiled sweetly, his smile was bewitching, so encouraging, modest at the same time sweet.

Klausa didn’t understand why she was enchanted so much with his bright-looking smile. She was always busy with her career and didn’t think about relationships, but now…

The crow seemed to be pummeling her on the head, forcing her to agree to a meeting.

‘Yes, it would be nice to take a walk in the evening, I’m just free.’

‘Great, then I’ll pick you up at 19.00 …’ Gray asked hastily.

‘Yes.’ Klausa didn’t understand what Gray was saying. His last words flew past her ears.

    ‘Where?’ Asked Gray.

    ‘What do you mean?’

‘Where we can meet? You must be very tired. Sorry for the delay.’

‘Oh yes, I’m a little tired, it was a busy day.’

    ‘Give you a ride?’

    ‘No, it’s not worth it.’

‘Do not refuse, for one thing I will find out where I can drive up to pick you up for a meeting.’

    ‘Good.’ Agreed the girl.

Klausa and Gray left the hall and went to the young man’s car.

Gray opened the car doors for the girl, but Klausa no longer paid any attention to such gentlemanly things of his. She was so tired that she saw only her bed in front of her, like a victim in the desert.

‘You have a beautiful name, but it is not Ukrainian, is it?’ Gray asked.

‘That’s right, my mother is very fond of American shows, series and films. It was her idea to call me Klausaiya. In short, – Klausa. Apparently due to the fact that her favorite movie is Santa Claus. It turns out funny.’

‘Haha.. I thought you had foreigners in your family.’

‘Didn’t guess.’ Klausa smiled sweetly. – ‘You also have an unusual name. What is your nationality?’

‘I am American. I came to Ukraine for work, as you can see, I stayed here for half a year already, if not more.’

‘Honestly, I never noticed you before.’

‘Perhaps because you were busy with work. I’ve noticed you very often, just the same at my work. I was one of the guests on the Nice Together show.’

‘Are you that distinguished guest for whose arrival our brand was so reverently preparing?’ Klausa asked in surprise.

‘Hmm… I don’t know.’ Gray replied with a smile. His smile seemed so sweet, but at the same time proud. – ‘We’ve arrived.’

‘Yeah, thanks a lot. Good night!’

    ‘Thank you. Until tomorrow then?’

    ‘Yes, see you tomorrow.’

Klausa and Gray exchanged phone numbers, and then the girl left.

    ‘Good night!’

    ‘Good night!’ Gray left.

‘Hmm.. he’s cute. Feeling like it was a dream. So Klausa, you’re tired. You need a sleep. But what if this is all really a dream, I just have such dreams from severe overwork?! No, no, no! I want this to be real! Although … if it was a dream, then in a dream I would not tell myself that this is a dream ... I would wake up immediately, and would not sit like this and think. God, what kind of nonsense I’m talking …’ - With such thoughts, Grant fell asleep. It took literally 3 seconds for this, as the girl was already in a sound sleep. And now she had absolutely nothing to dream about. This evening was much better than any sleep, as one of the laws of life says: We humans just need new feelings to be happy.

    7.00 am

The alarm clock rang, which obviously annoyed the girl.

‘Shut up!’ Said Klausa to an inanimate object, patting the alarm clock so that it almost fell off the bedside table.

‘Trrrrrrrrrr.’ The alarm clock snarled in response to the girl, like a teenager during a discussion with his mother.

‘Ohh… I’m waking up! Don’t alarm! I’m waking up already!’

The sun shone brightly and stood high in the sky. So high that its size seemed about the size of a bagel, through which the girl looked at the sun.

‘I’m going to cook delicious breakfast…’ Klausa thought.

The girl decided to make scrambled eggs with avocado. Today is a free day, there are no plans, she felt very good. Not only because of the small load for the day, but also because of the anticipation of tomorrow evening …

Turning on the music, the girl went to cook breakfast for herself, singing along. She was quite dreamy and very brave. I always imagined standing on stage, feeling confident and relaxed, entertaining the audience. Energizes. As soon as Klausa heard the music, she became so light and velvety, seemed like such a fluff. The body became more flexible to the music, the fantasy was wider. New movements just begged to break out and show themselves into the light ... only now ... there is no one to show and demonstrate their skills in front of. From one side of the room jumped to the other side. Not even a second passed before she made a somersault over the sofa and jumped back to the kitchen to check if the scrambled eggs were burnt. After a delicious breakfast, the girl went shopping at the mall.

‘Should I choose a dress for tomorrow? Or go in pants?’ Klausa thought. Suddenly she became nervous.

‘What should I do? Is it worth dressing up? Or would it be weird…? Hm.. Although... which is weird, I just want to look like a normal person.’ On this thought, the girl decided to stop.

With these words, the girl allegedly reassured herself and went to try on a dress that seemed pretty to her. Pastel yellow color, minimalistic and stylish.

‘What a beautiful … I’m going to take this dress for myself!’ The girl went to the cash register to pay for the dress.

Well, shopping is over. Time to go home…

The next day, waking up, the girl began to get ready for the meeting. Showers with light steam, beauty treatments - it all takes a lot of time. Not to mention makeup and admiring yourself in the mirror before going out.

‘I’m going to meet one of our employees…?…..Lord I’m not going to wash it all and clothes now.’ The girl decided to relax and go already as prepared. There was an hour left before the meeting … - ‘Maybe I will have time to watch a series of series?’ Thought Grant and without deep thought sat down for a new series ....

The series did not live up to expectations, so the girl decided to turn on the music, which she usually always does. She has been living alone for 4 years, so the loud music in the apartment is about her. On the wave with the music, she jumped like crazy. Joy came from within, but what happened to her is incomprehensible.

‘God. I’m so happy.’ The girl thought in her head, these words drowned out the noise in her head, she thought and...

‘Hello? Hello.’ Suddenly, Klausa answered to the call anxiously.

‘Good evening, are you disturbed?’ - the voice was surprised, so Gray thought that he had disturbed her.

‘No, not a drop.’ The girl smiled ridiculously, as if Gray was standing right in front of her.

‘Well, glad in that case. Are you ready? I can still wait if you want to dance. Hmm …’ Even through the receiver, the girl heard and managed to imagine that very smirk of Gray.

‘Shh… wha... what? Dance?!’ - Quietly whispered Klausaiya, looking anxiously in different directions.

‘You dance beautifully, Mrs. Klausa, don’t worry.’ Barely restrained from laughter, Gray.

Suddenly, the girl looked down from the window, completely forgetting that she had panoramic windows… She just recently moved and she is not yet used to the new apartment. Are these just excuses? Yeah, sure. She is very cautious, this is her first time living alone. First, she moved away from her parents and lived with her friends during university life, so we can understand her inattention. Adult life is different. You cook for yourself, no one is waiting at home, all your costs and expenses are on you and only on you! No one will ask if you need to throw something in the laundry because they need a few more clothes to fill the washing machine; you do absolutely everything yourself. So much trouble that sometimes you forget to close the curtains. This is the reality of adult life…

‘Ahaha..huh… I’ll be out in 5 minutes.’ The girl passed out.

Meanwhile, Gray crushed his grin under his breath. Trying not to show that he liked how the girl was embarrassed.

‘Why am I smiling like an idiot. I just need to have a meeting with her at work, she is good, it would be good to cooperate with her in the future.’ He convinced himself of a hangover.

20 minutes passed ... Klausa did not appear.

‘Should I call? Damn, why did I mention her dancing, I was savoring myself calmly … Now she’s embarrassed to go out?’ Thought Gray.

Suddenly, Klausa comes out. Very unexpected after such a long wait…

    ‘Hello again..’ he greeted.

‘Hello. Waited for a long time?’

‘Pfft, not too much. Where shall we go?’

‘Mmm … up to you, I don’t mind.’

‘When I was coming to you, I saw a very beautiful park nearby, shall we go?’

‘Yeah, sure. Why not. I think you are talking about the Youth park. I spent all my childhood there.’

‘OMG really? Let’s go there then. Tell me what you can do in this park all your childhood…’ Gray said with a sneer.

‘Hey, did it seem to me or did you… did you think of laughing at me?’ The girl frowned.

‘No, I just remembered how you’re dancing, ahahahah!’ Decided to enrage Klausa even more.

‘Well. Enough. I didn’t actually dance. It was my sister who came to visit
