    2. What are the available treatments for this diagnosis?

    3. What should be the first treatment for this diagnosis?

    4. What are the available medications?

    5. How many patients do you have to treat with a medication to find one patient that benefits?

    6. How many patients do you have to treat with a placebo to find one patient that benefits?

    7. If the patient benefits from the medication what is the average benefit?

    8. If the patient benefits from a placebo what is the average benefit of the placebo?

    9. What is the advantage of a medication over a placebo?

    10. How many patients do you have to treat with the medication to harm one patient?

    11. How many patients do you have to treat with a placebo to harm the patient?

    12. What is the disadvantage of the medication when compared to a placebo?

    13. What is the baseline functioning for this patient?

    14. What is the expectation for functional recovery if the patient is maintained on medication after returning to baseline functioning?

    15. What is the expectation for functional recovery if the patient is taken off medication after returning to baseline functioning.

    People bring their children to a psychiatrist only after they have tried to solve a problem with the child and failed.

    Problems with children come in two flavors, behavioral problems, and emotional problems.

    Behavioral problems include, but are not limited to

    1. temper tantrums;

    2. assaults;

    3. destruction of property;

    4. running, running away from home.

    5. school truancy;

    6. drug usage.

    7. sexual promiscuity.

    8. eating too much or too little,

    9. sleeping too much. too little, or irregularly; 10. self-mutilation,

    11. suicide attempts,

    12. delusions,

    13. hallucinations.

    14. obsessions;

    15. compulsions.

    16. Anxiety and avoidance

    17, depression and isolation

    18. mood swings unpredictable behavior
