About this ebook
Sometimes science demands sacrifice...
Perfection.
Juliet Huff’s life depends on it.
She’s never been outside, had friends over, or attended school. She’s also never had a cold, a bruise, or a scrape.
Her parents are researchers, part of the secretive Genesis Foundation, and they have one goal. Utopia. No one will ever lose another child to disease or birth defects. They’ll achieve their goal through cloning perfect children. In order to attract funding, any imperfect subjects are terminated.
As she nears her eighteenth birthday, she discovers she will become the first Genesis child to reach this milestone and will be “preserved” as a permanent record of their work unless she can break free.
But Juliet has a secret. She met someone from the outside world once, the boy from across the street. Escaping her house, she finds Bill Manning all grown up, but time is running out and she must expose the Genesis Foundation…
Because she’ll never be perfect again.
Editor's Note
Genetic Thriller...
In this genetic thriller, Juliet has been kept protected her entire life, not allowed to mar the perfection of her DNA. When she finally begins to question everything, horrific plans come to light, and Juliet has to figure out how to keep herself and her younger sister alive. Kessler’s thriller blends in some young adult and romantic elements for an even more emotional, character-driven read.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oh My!... Came by this book by chance just over a day ago and literally could not put it down... I have never read anything like this... It sucked me in from the beginning... Its book 1 of a trilogy... The 1st chapter is from when they were all friends around age 9, Then switches to 9 years later, The 1st chapter or 2 is a good read to get you a feel of characters and really imagine them as the book goes on... Told from both Billy's point of view and Juliette's... So chlostrophobic at the beginning with Juliette being trapped in her house forever by her own parents... She has to stay 'Perfect' Never get a cold sneeze scrape bump illness of any kind has to stay Perfect even wearing mittens and wooly socks to bed.... Billy who lives down the road ends up being her super hero aswell as boyfriend creating quite a lovely love story... Can not wait till book 2 of this trilogy comes out this month sometime ??

?? - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I enjoyed it thoroughly! Can not wait for book 2!!!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5There were exciting moments and I liked the concept, but overall it read like a YA novel, and not just because the main characters were 18 and 19. The moments that should’ve inspired horror or fear felt watery and not very believable, leaving me bored at times.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love it,very gripping, need the next one soon please. Thank you ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved it! Finished it in one day! We need a part 2 though, the ending felt cruel :( but overall, it’s an amazing book
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Grabs you right from the start. Easy to listen to and easy to follow the story line!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The beginning was intriguing and the story line is captivating but it just became very cheesy so quickly. It turned into a group of 18 year-olds with zero expertise or competence trying to solve the problem. Couldn’t finish it.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Started off pretty good, then it got cheesy and read like a fanfic.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It had promise and turned quickly into a B-rated movie. The characters were flat and uninteresting. The weirdest thing, it felt like the beginning was written by a far more talented writer. One name checked off my list.
