This book was designed for anyone who wishes to get a grip, get on track, or move ahead. It is written to help you improve your health, happiness, and well-being. You do not have to be clinically diagnosed with a mental or physical disorder to find encouragement between the pages you are about to read. It can help you even if you’ve never experienced symptoms of addiction or problems related to alcohol or drug abuse. Although it is written for individuals seeking ReCoVery from life controlling issues. The scripture references, worksheets, and questionnaires can benefit anyone striving to live a life of victory.

Likewise, friends, family members, and caregivers of people in transition can use this to better understand the challenges of rising, after being knocked down. They can develop goals for supporting their loved one, learn how to provide a safe environment, and help their loved one stay motivated.

These writings do not propose to provide a quick fix or magical cure for all of life’s challenges. It does not offer a simple solution to life’s problems because maintaining focus and momentum is not easy. Introduction

We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. ReCoVery is traditionally associated with addictions. However, as I have engaged with life, I have found that ReCoVery is truly a constant, a constant element of life. Individuals are involved in the ReCoVery process daily. When there is a need for ReCoVery, there has been a perception of loss. ReCoVery is a necessary factor associated with ongoing losses. We experience loss of family members, spouses, children, physiological health, psychological well-being, emotional stability, financial support, belongings, and security due to terrorist attacks on our beloved homeland in America and the world.
