Although he had been interested in the supernatural from his early years as a boy living in Coventry, England where he was born, he actively started practicing and studying Magick and Witchcraft from the year 1995. Although he has a strong leaning toward Anglo-Saxon Heathenry on a religious front, mostly because of his roots, his spiritual and philosophical leanings encompass many paths that people may consider to be diverse. Lee has always been a believer that each path and religion has common beliefs, finding that it is merely the language or interpretation that alters slightly between them. These bridges can be formed and Truth revealed.

Whilst re-evaluating my previous work, The Black Crow, I had decided to extend it by adding a variety of new material and rearranging the chapters in to sections. Whilst busy with that I then realised it might be more prudent to create smaller books that focused on the additional material. These are to form an expansion series that will compliment the original text, and can therefore be read in conjunction to that text or as a separate module. My greatest battle was trying to justify to myself why a reader would want to buy a new copy of the book if they have already bought the original. This solution seemed to be the best possible action.

What you will find in this small book is the original material from The Black Crow that pertained to the topic of Banishing Rites, together with some additional material and Rites including my own creations, The Cosmic Crossroads Ritual and The IAO Rite.

Being such a small addition, I have decided to only publish the expansion series as eBooks. If you would like to have a paperback copy to add to your collection, then please contact me on my website. If there is enough interest in this endeavour, then I will gladly create a hard copy.

About Banishing Rituals

Banishing rituals are used to cleanse the space and in some cases also set up a level of protection for the Working. It is also an act of creating sacred space, but this space is not just referring to the physical space, it is placing yourself between spaces, i.e. between this world and the other world, the spirit or astral world. By cleansing the space, I mean that the area for the Working is cleaned of all psychic debris, those being of previous attitudes that have been in that area, any spirit forms or entities that may be hanging around, and the mind and being of the Magick User.

The psychic debris from the attitudes of people are always charged with a lot of energy that misdirect the Work being done. If you have ever walked into a room that has previously had two people having a rather violent verbal argument in, then you will know what I mean. The energy that is generated by the people hangs around in the air, but also sinks into the masonry of the walls and floors. It can take a very long time for that room to naturally be cleansed of that single energy.

If you consider the Standing Stones in the UK, and the Godstones that are scattered around, then you will see that the Intent that the people through the centuries have placed into them to form a connection between them, now the Ancestors, and the Land, is extremely powerful, and it remains, centuries down the line.

The idea of spirits or entities hanging around can often summon up ideas of ghosts and evil spirits. The fact is that there is an unseen world where the vibrations of these entities are a lot higher than ours, and although they can see us and even interact with us on some levels, we cannot see them unless we develop the Sight. There are also astral entities that vibrate at a lower energy and these entities can cause harm, but you will find that mostly, they don’t, or they can’t, to the degree that we would generally consider harm to be. They cause slight influences to happen in the person’s life, like general life influences which are hardly even noticeable and often shrugged off as being the general flow of a person’s life. Many of these entities are quite often created by the person themselves. They are what some may call parasites as they are thought forms and ideas that have taken on a personality of some degree and they cling to us and affect us.

Many Magicians as well as Shamans dedicate their spiritual progress to becoming free of this form of parasite. Free of the Installation that we have created, that which is solid around
