14 and he byð þe to ȝefean and to blisse, and maneȝa on his acennednysse ȝefaȝniað

15 Soðlice he byð mære beforan drihtne and he ne drincð ƿin ne beor: and he byð ȝefylled on haliȝum ȝaste. þonne ȝyt of hys modor innoðe:

20 And nu þu byst suƿiende. and þu sprecan ne miht. oð þone dæȝ þe ðas ðinȝ ȝeƿurðaþ: forþam þu minum ƿordum ne ȝelyfdest. þa beoð on hyra timan ȝefyllede;

21 And þæt folc ƿæs zachariam ȝeanbidiende and ƿundrodon þæt he on þam temple læt ƿæs;

22 þa he uteode ne mihte he him to sprecan. and hiȝ oncneoƿon þæt he on þam temple sume ȝesihtðe ȝeseah. and he ƿæs bicniende him and dum þurhƿunede;

24 Soðlice æfter daȝum elizabeþ his ƿif ȝeeacnode and heo bediȝlude hiȝ fif monþas and cƿæð;

25 Soðlice me drihten ȝedyde þus. On þam daȝum þe he ȝeseah minne hosp betux mannum afyrran.

26 Soþlice on þam syxtan monðe ƿæs asend ȝabriel se enȝel fram drihtne on ȝalilea ceastre. þære nama ƿæs nazareþ.

27 to beƿeddudre fæmnan anum ƿere. þæs nama ƿæs iosep. of dauides huse. and þære fæmnan nama ƿæs maria.

28 þa cƿæþ se enȝel inȝanȝende. hal ƿes ðu mid ȝyfe ȝefylled. drihten mid þe; þu eart ȝebletsud on ƿifum.

29 þa ƿearð heo on his spræce ȝedrefed. and þohte hƿæt seo ȝretinȝ ƿære;

30 þa cƿæð se enȝel. ne ondræd þu ðe maria; Soðlice þu ȝyfe mid ȝode ȝemettest:

31 Soðlice nu þu on innoðe ȝeeacnast. and sunu censt and his naman hælend ȝenemnest;

32 Se byð mære and þæs hehstan sunu ȝenemned. and him sylþ drihten ȝod his fæder. dauides setl.

33 and he ricsað on ecnesse on Iacobes huse: and hys rices ende ne byþ;

34 þa cƿæð maria to þam enȝle. hu ȝeƿyrð þis forðam ic ƿere ne oncnaƿe;

35 þa andsƿarode hyre se enȝel; Se halȝa ȝast on þe becymþ and þæs heahstan miht þe ofersceadað: and forðam þæt haliȝe ðe of þe acenned byð byþ ȝodes sunu ȝenemned

36 and nu elizabeþ þin mæȝe sunu on hyre ylde ȝeeacnode. And þe monað ys hyre sixta. seo is unberende ȝenemned:

37 forþam nis ælc ƿord mid ȝode unmihtelic;

38 þa cƿæþ maria her is drihtnes þinen. ȝeƿurþe me æfter þinum ƿorde. and se enȝel hyre fram ȝeƿat.

39 Soþlice on þam daȝum aras maria and ferde on muntland mid ofste. on iudeisce ceastre

40 and eode into zacharias huse and ȝrete elizabeþ;

41 þa ƿæs ȝeƿorden þa elizabeþ ȝehyrde marian ȝretinȝe: þa ȝefaȝnude þæt cild on hyre innoðe; And þa ƿearð elizabeþ haleȝum ȝaste ȝefylled.
