Foreword

We have all been stuck! We all need to be UNSTUCK!

Being raised in the snow-belt of Northeastern Ohio, it was not unusual to get six to twelve inches of snow in a single snowfall in our long winters.

I still remember the first time I got my car stuck in that blasted, slippery, white stuff!

As a seventeen-year-old kid growing up in the country and working at the local grocery store, I was proud of my car like many teenage guys.

It was a 1963 Pontiac Tempest convertible, powder blue with a white top and cool wheels, but somehow, I always seemed to have bald tires. The mixture of tires with little-to-no tread and deep snow created the perfect recipe for getting stuck.

Being an inexperienced driver, my brilliant attempt to get unstuck from the snow was loudly revving my engine, wildly spinning my tires, and madly rocking the car back and forth. The common results produced lots of noise, the smell of burning rubber, havoc on my transmission, and ending up more stuck than before all my naïve attempts to become unstuck!

I eventually got out of every situation that found me stuck in the snow, but most of us struggle to gain traction and become UNSTUCK from the hurts, pain, and rejections of life, no matter how sincere our efforts.

In his excellent book, Guide to Unstuck, my dear friend Dr. Michael Chichak utilizes the wisdom received from years of an intimate walk with God and his exceptional knowledge and skills as a medical doctor to help us get unstuck!

Doc has written this timely book with the goal and passion to assist others in navigating through the instances and issues of life where we all can easily get stuck, and stuck stinks!

In the challenge on Day 14, Doc succinctly points out, Refuse to stay stuck. We are made on purpose and for a purpose. If there is a wound that has held you back, it’s robbing you. Decide today that the weight of destiny is worth more than the chains of yesterday. Wow!
