New Depths in Christian Philosophy - David Rigozzi
INTRODUCTION
Some children were, and some were not, luckily enough to be brought up learning the niceties of religion.
Learning by rote is a stumbling block of some teenagers. that is, their mind only accepts facts and maybe not logic. Where rote learning stumbles is when religion is introduced to the young mind, because religion is concerned with social and ethical matters, those which are the diametric opposite of factual rote learning. Indeed, ‘normal’ children can think in logical and ethical mannerisms. I was a ‘rote learner’ and only accepted learning itself when I asked ‘why’ things happened and not just ‘how’. The young mind is deeply ‘into’ pathways of reasoning and combined with a person who is willing to show them the way to the rest of their life, Jesus and religion can be a powerful influence for ones who will spend the rest of their lives, learning, real learning.
The young debutant may or may not be exposed to multiple Church services, coffee shops, bible studies or other such supportive things, but are those things really supporting and is Jesus perceived correctly ? This book will discuss just that.
Taken from personal experience, I tell the modern story of following Christ as I see it. Throughout, questions will spring to mind., inspire more thought, and take time to ponder and make your own notes. Written in logical compacted writing,
Read slowly and think about each sentence, and stop for a day if you want to, even a week to ponder.
DEDICATED TO THOSE FRIENDS WHO HAVE ‘MENTAL ILLNESS’
Did Jesus ‘save the world’, He did go through agony and probably didn’t realize the sensation He would make, but His intentions were honourable.
The revelations in this book join Jews, gentiles all Christians together, and might even satisfy Muslims and Buddhists in the future.

Chapter One
THE CHILD AND THE IMAGE OF JESUS AS A YOUNG SAVIOUR
Amount of learning Read carefully and think
How much should a child or teenager be exposed to the Church? Some people do not accept religion, saying it is indoctrination, and there is always the parent who has been hurt and will not let their offspring come into contact with Christianity at all.
Is this Christianity past time of the ‘upper crust’ maybe a masquerade of private schools and Sunday meetings, something which belonged to the English conservatives, spreading to Australia and still existing in the more elite suburbs of Sydney. The amount the young person is exposed to this has probably something to do with his class, unlike the mores of old England, where the Church of England was founded by widespread social acceptance.
However, we must not forget and we cannot escape the persistent force that such things have in everyone’s life. It is respected, it is sought after, and the ones brought up in the private schools usually end up on top. Jesus, the proper vision of Jesus is certainly a wondrous thing. It has certainly been a thing that puts some children a cut above the rest, for believing in supernatural acts by a human can make one feel rather special one’s self, wouldn’t you agree ?
If a young person listens to one sermon he might fidget and twitch throughout the three quarters of an hour. The second and third may start to awaken his interest, and by the sixth sermon he may stop fidgeting if there is singing in the rest of the service. By the twelfth sermon, listening to such a rapport will become second nature, and he has started to think ethically for himself by the way the priest talks to him personally, and
