Leo R. Hunt had a happy childhood born in Nebraska. His father moved his family to Idaho Spring Colorado. When they reached Idaho Spring, his father worked in a gold mine for his brother-in-law. Leo started his education in a one room schoolhouse then when jobs were no longer available Abe moved his growing family to Dillon Colorado and went to work on one of the largest dams in Colorado. When the dam was finished, the family moved to Denver Colorado. Leo attended three school in North Denver: Smedley Elementary, Horace Man junior high and North high. Leo struggled his entire life with poor grades, spelling and math because of his severe dyslexia. Back in the day, the teachers knew nothing about this disease. They just assumed that the child was slow and move the student from grade to grade. Leo did not start to write his poetry until he was in his twenty's. He explained it this way. One day the words started coming to me I grabbed a piece of paper and began to write them down however it was a real struggle because of my dyslexia.
Finally he meets a woman that could decipher his handwriting and she made his works come a live. He self-published his first book Inspired in 2010 after the book was publish, he begins to write again this time it was much easier because of the computer.
Scattered to the Wind is much different then Inspired however there are some of the old in the new. This is the first attempt for him to write stories, but he feels he has something to say and hope people will like the stories.
