About this ebook
A knock on my door puts me face to face with criminals. They push into my house.
The head hoodlum snarls at me, “Tommy had money that belongs to us. We have come for the money.”
I carefully tell the head hoodlum. “I have no idea that Tommy had money that belongs to you. I have no idea why Tommy had money that belongs to you. Why don’t you ask Tommy about your money?”
The head hoodlum snarls at me, “Tommy got beat up real bad a couple days ago. We think that you beat Tommy up and took the money.”
I say, “I managed to convince the police that I was not the one who beat up Tommy. However, let’s just assume that I was the one who beat up Tommy. According to the police, Tommy got beat up coming out of an upscale bar. Do you think that Tommy had money that belongs to you, on his person?”
The head hoodlum says, “Our money that Tommy had was too much for Tommy to carry around.”
I lecture, “Okay, you are not going to tear up my house, looking for the money. However, you can send in a professional search crew, to look for the money that I don’t have. Your professional search crew call themselves maid service, or some such. While they search, they clean. They will find no money that was apparently stolen from Tommy. But they will leave my house sparkling clean. In the meantime, we can do a quick search of my garage and my car. If you damage my car, I take it out of your hides.”
The head hoodlum says, “Okay, our money that Tommy had is not here. Where is our money that Tommy had?”
I lecture, “Let’s reason this out. Despite the fact that it’s against the law, you already know that I don’t have your money in my bank account or my stock brokerage account. We have already decided that I don’t have your money hidden here, in my house or garage. Let’s find out why Tommy had a large amount of your money. Your money obviously comes from illegal sources. You don’t want the government, specifically the IRS, to find out about a large amount of your money. So, you give your money to Tommy and he gonna put it through the company system. The company system normally handles multi million dollar amounts of money, from government contracts, so no obvious sign of your money. Your money is then laundered and spent on ‘outside services.’ Your outside services company got large expenses, so you don’t pay too much tax. Now, Tommy can’t really spend your kind of large money all by himself. Tommy got to have help to spend your money. Where does Tommy get the help? If you come up with another criminal enterprise, you got a good starting point. But wait, Tommy didn’t get a big commission, in his bank account. Have you ever heard of a retirement plan?”
The head hoodlum says, “Got it all figured, haven’t you?”
I ask, “What is it that I do for my living?”
The head hoodlum says, “Okay, you one of those computer guys. Figuring out stuff is what you do.”

I'm the co-author, with Sunset Thomas, of Anatomy of An Adult Film.I have 48 novels and over 299 short stories currently published.I spent my early years in the part of Los Angeles known as the South Central. I was known as Whi' Boy, which was sufficient to identify me in that place. I'm a skilled Kung Fu player, using a system that I learned from a Korean I knew only as 'Pak.' It would be easier to tell you the places that Pak wasn't wanted by the police, rather than the places where he was wanted by the police. Pak's Kung Fu system, augmented by some bits and pieces from some Chinese practitioners is quick and effective, or I wouldn't be alive today. My early education was mostly obtained by stealing books from the public library (I always returned them and the Librarian even began to provide me with reading lists.) I did go to high schools, but I never really learned anything there. I eventually graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, UCLA, with a degree in mathematics.I work as a Systems Analyst and also make a part of my living as a professional gambler (legal in Nevada.) I write science fiction and erotica. My published novels are:Anatomy of An Adult Film (With Sunset Thomas)1. Second Chance: God Killer2. Second Chance: Sky Pirate3. Second Chance: Scroll Seeker4.
