TESTING THEORIES
For hundreds of years, scientists have tried to explain things by coming up with ideas about the way things work. These scientific ideas are known as hypotheses. When scientists believe they have enough evidence to show their idea is correct, the idea becomes a theory.

Right or Wrong?
Scientists test ideas to see if they are right or wrong. They put together facts produced by these tests to help prove their ideas.
