- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5As I was channel surfing, I ran across a program featuring Kevin Belton. I wanted a recipe he featured on the show but discovered few recipes--and not the one I wanted--on the show's web site. I discovered the recipe was in this book, and since I'm a lover of New Orleans cuisine decided to order it. The book includes many classic New Orleans dishes, but it also features new takes on some and fusions of New Orleans cuisine with other cuisines for some. The book's illustrations make it appealing, and there's just enough background on New Orleans and the cuisine and culture to make it an enjoyable read.
