THE OOZE

I’m running out of time, KeNI said to himself as he opened another door. The boots of his Astro-Tech suit stomped as he entered— then his eyes went wide.

Weapon storage! Sweet! KeNI shouted.

The room was full of lockers and chests. KeNI opened one locker after another and searched inside each one.

Finally! A laser cannon, he said as he pulled it out. Unfortunately, the blaster wasn’t in the best shape. The sights were busted. The energy canister, which determined the weapon’s power, was pretty small.

Ugh, a gray model, KeNI grumbled and tossed the blaster on the floor. It slid across the room before stopping over a vent in the ground. There had to be something good in here!
