#1 I was 15 years old when I called my father from boarding school. He told me that he would have his secretary get on sending me antiwar material, but I never received it. I felt distant from my peers after that.
#2 I had four and a half years of high school at Sidwell Friends School in Washington. It was a Quaker school, and the only organized religion that has ever made sense to me is the Quaker faith. At the end of eighth grade, one of my good friends disappeared and went to boarding school.
#3 I was at St. Paul’s boarding school in 1964, and while I enjoyed the privileges of the school, I soon realized that they came with a price.
#4 I had to go to therapy or be expelled from school. I was the son of Robert McNamara, who was considered one of the most brilliant minds of his generation. I suffered from test-taking anxiety, and the masters thought a shrink could cure it.

#1
I was 15 years old when I called my father from boarding school. He told me that he would have his secretary get on sending me antiwar material, but I never received it. I felt distant from my peers after that.
#2
I had four and a half years of high school at Sidwell Friends School in Washington. It was a Quaker school, and the only organized religion that has ever made sense to me is the Quaker faith. At the end of eighth grade, one of my good friends disappeared and went to boarding school.
#3
I was at St. Paul’s boarding school in 1964, and while I enjoyed the privileges of the school, I soon realized that they came with a price.
#4
I had to go to therapy or be expelled from school. I was the son of Robert McNamara, who was considered one of the most brilliant minds of his generation. I suffered from test-taking anxiety, and the masters thought a shrink could cure it.
#5

#6
I had many chances to succeed in school, as the school allowed me to repeat classes many times. I was able to keep my parents from seeing me as a celebrity, and I credit them
