Importance of choosing a pet’s name
Are you overwhelmed at the thought of choosing a name for your newfound family member? Picking the perfect name for your new pet can be stressful, but this book is here to help. Rather than giving you a list of the most trendy names to choose from, I thought it would it would be helpful to list inspirational Green Bay Packers names along with the important contributions each player made to the Green and Gold. So, whether you are looking for a unique name or one that matches your pet’s personality, I hope the Green Bay Packers can help you choose the perfect pet name.
WHY SHOULD I NAME MY PET AFTER A PACKER?
The big question that comes up is why I should name my pet after a Green Bay Packer player and not after my math teacher in 6th grade or my favorite food. Well the four main reasons are:
1) The Packer are champions
2) The Packers are Hall of Famer
3) The Packers are loyal
4) The Packers are a class act
Champions
The Green Bay Packers have won more championships (13) than any other team in National Football League history.
They won their first three by league standing (1929, 1930 and 1931), and 10 since the NFL’s playoff system was established in 1933,1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1996 and 2010). Green Bay also is the only NFL team to win three straight titles, having done it twice (1929-30-31 and 1965-66-67). (https://www.packers.com/history/championship-seasons)
In addition, the Packers won the first two Super Bowls (over Kansas City in 1966, 35-10, and over Oakland in 1967, 33-14), as well as two more recently (over New England in 1996, 35-21, and over Pittsburgh in 2010, 31-25). (https://www.packers.com/history/championship-seasons)
Every pet owner should want their animal to be a champion. Giving your pet a sweet sounding Packer name could be the first step.
Hall of Famers
Over the 100 year history of the NFL 28 players have entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame as Green Bay Packers. Players like Don Hutson, Bart Starr, Brett Favre and Reggie White have come to define what it means to play for the Packers. According to C. David Baker, the President of the Pro Football hall of fame. A Hall of Famer is someone who has given all they had on and off the field, had a high peak in their career, and was elite at his position.
All pet owners should want a Hall of Famer fur baby, an animal who will grow up to give all to make their new owner happy.
Loyalty to their team
No group of fans is as loyal to their team
