Foreword
I felt that I had to tell your story; it was one of friendship and mutual understanding. I am so very grateful that you came into my life and I will never forget you.
You gave me so much love and joy every day, and, in doing so, you made me a better person.
This is your story, dear Mellow, with love.
Introduction
A long, long time ago, there lived a handsome male Dutch rabbit who lived with a family on a farm. His name was Mellow. This is his story.
Chapter 1
I would like to take you back to where my tale begins.
I lived on a farm in Brixham, Devon, with a farmer, his wife and two grown-up children. By this time, I had become nervous, stressed, worried and anxious. So, I waited for night to fall, then I would make my escape.
So, when it was really, really dark, I went to the door to check that it was still open.
I looked around to make sure no one was
