What About Love - Linda Cloud
what about love

Willow was born to a very poor but honest family. Her family roots could be traced back to the days of the pioneers crossing the wilderness in their Conestoga wagons. Her ancestry had been told to her over and over again by her parents and grandparents.
She came from a strong stock of folks. Especially the women in her family. Her great -great grandmother who was on her father's side of the fence, and was one of the pioneer ladies, so she had no choice but to be strong and stubborn,
When Willow was a small girl playing out in the pastures with her siblings, she would imagine being her grandmother, sometimes riding in the covered wagon while her grandfather would guide the oxen on the rough grassy trail that would lead them to their next new homesteads, Of course, in Willow’s small mind she would pretend that her brothers were outlaws that would come to try and rob them. Other times, she would pretend that they were Indians and calvary that would surround the wagon train.
Her younger sister, Marie, would be the one who would always tattle on her if she didn’t want to play out the scene as Willow directed. Marie would always want to play some dumb thing so lame as house, which would include playing with Marie’s dishes and her dolls and with the other sister Annie, wanting to play with the mud and pine needles to make her exquisite pine tree pies as she called them.
Annie was somewhat of a tomboy, she never wanted to play girlie things, nor did she like boys all that much. Annie was just Annie and that was all anyone could expect out of her She acted like a tomboy, but deep down inside she was a very soft-hearted and tender girl. She kept her feelings hidden most of the time. She never wanted to hurt anyone’s feelings or make them sad. Sometimes folks would take her as being cold-hearted.
Willow always wanted to protect Annie from any harm, no matter what hell Annie would put her through with her shenanigans.
Later on in life when the two women got together and talked about their
