The Origins of Master Lord Wrath

In the Realm of the Gods Leilanie the Goddess of Fear is looking upon herself in a beautiful mirror. She thinks of her great cousin who used her power to become a Lizard Goddess so often that she could not return to her humanoid form. Leilanie’s Brother Xion pampered her and together they created a world for his cousin’s lizard children. The name of that world is Tafar. She licks her lips then kisses at herself in the mirror.

Perhaps since I have become the Goddess of Fear, I should look the part. A Lizard Goddess would indeed bring greater fear in the hearts of the mortals then this form, says Leilanie the Goddess of Fear.

She calls forth the power within her and she transforms into a Lizard Goddess. She grows a twenty inch white tail. Her body grows scales and leathery skin. Her breasts grow two full sizes and her hands become claws. Her hair becomes long strands of thick black skin. Her face pushes forward and her tongue grows long and splits. Her teeth become sharp and she notices a pattern appear within her leathery skin. She watches as her feet grow large and claws take the place of her toes. She walks around the room to have a feel of her new form and is trying to make up her mind if she likes the new form.

I may be the Goddess of Fear but I was born humanoid Goddess. I don’t like the feel of the Leathery skin and this tail seems to have a mind of its own, says Leilanie the Goddess of Fear to herself.

If that is so then return to your Humanoid form, my dear. A human on the World of Karona is about to discover our names, says Ignatius the God of Chaos.

So I take it you don’t like it either, says Leilanie the Goddess of Fear.

Return to the Form of my wife! Once you are yourself do you think you can do as we planned? asks Ignatius the God of Fear.

It has already been done! says Leilanie as she restores herself back to her humanoid form.

Good, then it has begun, says Ignatius the God of Chaos.

On the World of Karona in the Land of the Nation of the Kings on a peninsula in the far south of the land west of the Great Forrest lives a man by the name of Lord Eliphaz Purim Adar. He has built a great tower in which he lives. After fifty years he has accumulated a great many books, and these books are books of great knowledge for the art of magic. His desire is to become the great power in the world of Karona and an emperor over all the lands of Karona. He has worked very hard to learn all the magic he can but he felt something was missing. He longed for the power to raise the dead like the great Necromancer Valtraz. He has studied for many years upon this matter though he could not find a way to make it work. The knowledge of Valtraz was lost when He was defeated by King Forrest.

One month before the day of the New Year, Eliphaz was about doing his dark magic and through his dark magic workings he came across some names in the shadow of the black serum he was working with. The names appear as dark red blood in the serum. These names are of Gods that the rest of the world knew nothing about. The names are Ignatius the God of Chaos and Leilanie the Goddess of Fear.

Who are these Gods that I the weaver of dark magic should know them? If these Gods are real then why should they not come to me and grant me greater power, says Eliphaz.

Just as Eliphaz speaks these words a dark cloud fills the tower chamber at the highest point of his great tower then a great wind enters the chamber. Two personages appear before Eliphaz then the dark cloud vanishes and the great wind comes to halt.

If we are real then we will come to grant you a powerless mortal, power? Why should we help you? asks Ignatius the God of Chaos.

Your names are Ignatius the God of Chaos and Leilanie the Goddess of Fear. Grant me greater power and I shall bring Chaos and Fear to this world of Man!

A World of Man? But what of the creatures of Magic? Does this world not have creatures of great power, power over man? asks Leilanie the Goddess of Fear.

We have no creatures of magic. We have no creatures with greater power over man. There are the five female Golden Falise but they have no real magic. This world is a world of man and I desire to rule over man. Grant me the power to raise the dead to create an army of walking dead soldiers that are loyal to me just as the army of the skeletons were loyal to Valtraz the great Necromancer and I will help you by ending this world of man! says Eliphaz.

Who created this world of Man? asks Ignatius the God of Chaos.

His name is Xion the God of Gods! says Eliphaz.

My brother created a world of Man! He has broken the law of the Gods and for this he shall pay! says Leilanie.

With this man, my dear, we can destroy this world and make Xion suffer for what he has done. We shall speak to the Great Ones and convince them to allow us to imprison Xion for what he has done. Eliphaz Purim Adar, I, Ignatius, grants you the power over the dead and the power of the Dark Unicorn! You shall go and cause chaos among your fellow man. Make them suffer! Make them understand what it means to fear! says Ignatius the God of Chaos.

Hear me mortal man you shall have the power you seek but it will be greater then what Valtraz used. My dear I do not think this man looks the part of a great warlord, says Leilanie as she begins to walk closer to Eliphaz.

Leilanie comes very close to Eliphaz then presses her lips upon his forehead. A Dark Shadow comes upon Eliphaz and his body begins to grow. Leilanie causes a black suit of armor to come upon Eliphaz as he grows to a full seven feet tall. She then walks back to her evil husband. Ignatius calls forth his power then places a great and mighty sword upon a table for Eliphaz to use once the transformation is complete.

This sword I give to you. It has the power of Darkness. Use it to kill all that stand in your way, says Ignatius.

What have you done to me? says Eliphaz.

We have granted you your desire. You now have the power over the dead. You are now more powerful then Valtraz was. Outside you will find the Dark Unicorn waiting for you. Ride upon this dark creature and go to the other cities and cause Fear and Chaos to this world and you will have a reward in the Realm of the Gods as a champion of Darkness, says Ignatius.

I believe our champion needs a new name. A name that will bring fear into the hearts of the people, says Leilanie.

What do you have in mind my dear? says Ignatius.

Eliphaz, your new name should reflect the terror you bring to this world so I give you your new name. From this day forth you shall be known as…Master Lord Wrath the Lord over the Dead! says Leilanie.

Yes, I like this name. I swear I will bring fear to all man! Hahaha! says Master Lord Wrath.

A dark cloud appears and the two Gods vanish to the realm of the Gods. Master Lord Wrath takes hold of his mighty sword and walks down the tall tower to begin his reign of Chaos and Fear upon the World of Karona.

    To Serve the King

Two months later, just outside the palace in the city of Gwalior a young man along with his mother are caring for the children of the merchants who travel to the small towns outside of the city. Chad is willing to help his mother so he enjoys the time to share the tales of the history of their world with the young children.

"In the eternities of time and of the Universe there are many Gods who rule the worlds in the many Galaxies. Above them all there is one God who rules over all other Gods. His name is Xion the God of Gods. Xion is the creator of many worlds. These worlds are ruled by magic, and Xion grew tired of these worlds of magic for they had too much power. Xion decided to make a world unlike any other world he had thus created. He forged a world of man, our world. He chose that there should be no Dragons, Elves, and no creatures of any kind that were made of magic. Xion started this world on his own but soon his daughter Amelia came to his aid. One day when the world of man was almost complete, Xion was working very hard at a particular point of this world’s creation, his dearest daughter, Amelia came to him with a question,

Father could we make just one creature of magic? Just one… Like a dragon or something. I feel the world needs something of magic, don’t you think?

NO! Xion roars. In this world there shall be no creatures of magic! Man in this world shall have magic yet there shall be no creatures made of magic. I forbid it!

A short time after the world of Karona was completed Xion turned his attention to a new world he decided to create. Amelia came to the world of man the world of Karona. In an act of defiance of her Father’s will Amelia the Goddess of Life created a creature she called The Golden Falise. She created only five of them. They are made of magic, they are all female, and they became the protectors of what we call the Great Forrest. Amelia promised the Golden Falise the day would come when one of the five would choose a man to give up his humanity his kinship with the gods to be changed from his human form into a male Golden Falise. That man would choose to become the Father of Golden Falise. She also proclaimed to them that they are her Legacy to mankind because she wanted man to know that the Gods have not forgotten man and she felt there must be something made of pure magic for this world of man to survive. So the legend goes," says Chad.

Wonderful! Tell us more! says one of the six children in the room.

I want to know why we call the forest east of here the Great Forrest and not the Great forest with only one r? asks a little girl.

Well let me see...that’s right... the Great Forrest is named after the Great King Forrest Chephirah (who is the great, great, great, great, great grandfather of our king). I think you would love the story about the great King Forrest and how he defeated the evil Necromancer Valtraz who used dark magic to raise an army of skeleton warriors. It is said that King Forrest found a secret in the forest that proved to be a power greater then the evil Necromancer but he kept that secret from his own family. Because King Forrest defeated the Necromancer the forest became known as the Great Forrest from that time forward, explains Chad.

Wow, that was wonderful! Tell us more! says the young girl.

Well…let me see…I can tell you about the old Order of Wizards that began in the year 327 KN…about three hundred years ago about the same time King Forrest defeated the Necromancer or I can tell you about the legend of the amazons who live across the sea south of here. Oh wait I have heard stories of the Great Barbarians who live east of here across the great sea, says Chad.

Chad, will you take the children outside to play? calls Chad’s mother.

All right! We’ll be in before the Golden Moon rises! says Chad.

Chad begins to take the children outside yet before they get to the door someone knocks on the door.

I’ll get it! Chad opens the door to find his brother standing there before him, Michael! How have you been? It has been quite some time!

My dear brother, I have been doing very well. How have you been? Well …Unfortunately I do not have very much time…I came to take you before the King. He needs your help with something of great importance for this kingdom. Will you come to your King’s call? asks Michael.

Yes, what’s the matter? asks Chad as he walks outside with his brother and the children.

I can’t tell you here. Yet I can tell you the King needs your help with your running ability, explains Michael.

Yes, but how did the king know about my running? Oh, yea the games, whatever the King needs. I am here to serve him, says Chad.

Good, you’ll have to let mother know, says Michael.

Oh, you mean right now! Well, I guess I can go now. Oh boy…children come on…its time to go in! says Chad.

The six children run back to the small home.

But why do we have to go in? We thought you were going to tell us more about our history. I want to learn why the Great Forrest is name after King Forrest, says little Bobby.

Yea, and I wanted to hear about the wizards! says little Sue.

Well, now it looks like it will have to wait for another time. I promise when I am done helping the King I’ll tell you all about it, and I’ll tell you about the old Order of Wizards, and the new order, says Chad.

All the young children cheer then they rush back in the house. Chad looks to his older brother and opens the door for him.

I have to let mom know about this. You can explain it to her because I have no idea what’s going on! explains Chad.

Chad, you haven’t changed a bit. Why are all these children here? asks Michael as he walks in the house.

What do mean I haven’t changed? I have too! Well, anyways, Mom has me watch these children for her because let’s face it, she is getting old. The children come here because these are the children merchants. Mother has been asked to watch over them while they go on journeys to the north to bargain with the mountain people. On some days we have as many as thirty children. I don’t mind helping. These kids need someone to watch over them and besides, it is good practice for when I get married and have children of my own, explains Chad.

You a father, that’ll be the day! Well, at least you’re staying out of trouble. We don’t have much time. Let mom know you’re coming with me to see the King, says Michael.

Linda walks out of the kitchen and sees her eldest son. She rushes to him and hugs him. She leans back to have a better look at her son the soldier.

My just look at you…oh you have to stay for dinner. I’ve made my famous dish with a bit of salad, says Linda as she pulls Michael toward the kitchen.

No, Mother! I am on duty right now! I would love to stay but I have my orders, says Michael as he stops in his tracks.

You have to stay! I want to hear all about your duties as a soldier in the services of our King and I want to know if you found yourself a lady in the court, says Linda.

She stops and looks to the children.

Mother, I have orders to take Chad before the King right at this moment. I am due to have the night off. I’ll come to visit you tonight yet right now Chad must come with me, explains Michael as he places his right hand on his mother’s shoulder.

Very well, I understand. I want to hear that my boy has found himself a wife. Before I leave this world. I want some grand children before it grows too late. I’ll see you when you return. You better have found a good woman, says Linda as she kisses her eldest son on the forehead. She walks to Chad.

I love you mother, says Chad.

I love you too. Now, whatever the King needs from you, you do it right, understand. I love you boys. After your father died in the last war it has been hard on me. So both of you be safe! says Linda as she turns away from her two sons.

Mom, will you be all right with the children? asks Chad.

Now you don’t worry about the children they are with me. Go the King needs you. I am so very proud of you, Michael, and you, Chad, says Linda.

Mother, it’s not like we’re going to War! says Chad.

Linda leads the children to the kitchen and waves goodbye to her boys. Michael takes Chad by the shoulder and begins to walk out the small home.

Come on. The King is waiting, says Michael.

Michael then turns to walk out the front door. Chad follows his elder brother out the door. Michael walks quickly toward the palace without waiting for his brother Chad. Chad rushes to catch up to his brother.

Wait up, Michael! No one’s around now. Tell me, what in the world is going on? asks Chad.

That’s the question of the day isn’t it? I can’t tell you because I don’t really know all the details and I don’t know how much of it is true. When the King left two months ago, he left in a garb of secret. When he returned, he had the look of death upon him. He sent out spies to watch the course of the enemy and now he has asked you to come before him. The King will tell you everything you need to know when we get to the palace. If mother knew! says Michael.

    Knew what? asks Chad.

Michael just went on walking, Knew what, Michael? If mom knew, what? Come on, you used to do this to me all the time when we were growing up. Come on tell me!

Chad holds his older brother by the shoulder. The two brothers come to a stop and Michael looks at his younger brother and looks him in the eye.

Look it doesn’t matter. What does matter is getting you to see the King. Chad, don’t look at me that way. All right, I can tell you this much… something is changing in our world. I don’t really know what it is. Some say the people in the mountains are no longer human, our scouts have been speaking of a massive army from the south heading this way. This army is unlike anything anyone of this world has ever seen. I don’t know too much about this army but I believe the dead are walking, explains Michael.

Chad steps back and while taking in a deep breath of air this shows the shock of what he has just heard.

No, that can’t be! I know the legends and the history of our world and the wizards of the past have even come out and said it is impossible for the dead to walk. They even tried to make it work but the mystery of how Valtraz had a massive host of skeleton warriors has been lost. Of course it was three hundred years ago. And what do you mean the mountain people are no longer human. If they are not human then what are they? No, wait, I don’t know if I really want to know. If the dead are walking then…

Then something or someone is behind this. Look we have no time. We have to get you before the King! says Michael finishing Chad’s thought.

Yes, you’re right. If a man has the power over the grave then I think maybe some of the other Gods are manipulating things! If I’m right there isn’t all that much we as man can do about this because we can’t fight against the Gods! Can we? explains Chad.

The two young men begin moving much quicker to the palace. As they come to the palace Chad pauses a moment to look upon the massive structure before him. The palace has granite blocks placed upon each other with cement between each stone. There are two large towers forty feet in the air but one tower is two feet taller then the other. The two towers are connected by a massive building holding the towers together. There is also a walkway for the guards to shoot arrows at any enemies that may come. The new age wizards can also fire off spells from the walkways down upon any that might try to harm the King and his home. Yet there hasn’t been any need for either soldier or new age wizards to fire upon any enemy for some years now. The palace also has a great mot around the outside of the palace. Vines have grown all around the outside of the walls of the palace and Chad could see a nest of mockingbirds in the vines.

We must hurry. My orders are to escort you as quickly to the King’s Throne room as humanly possible. Let’s get going! says Michael.

The two young men walk to the drawbridge and a guard outside of the gate looks at the two young men.

Sorry, no admittance on the Kings orders, says the Guard.

Tomas, don’t be a fool. I have orders to take my brother before the King! Now let us in! demands Michael.

I can have you arrested for talking to your superior in that manner! says Tomas.

You fool! I am the Captain General of this Army. You are just a soldier. I can have you arrested for not allowing your superior in to see the King! says Michael.

Oh my, I did not realize who you were, Tomas turns and yells to the soldiers on the other side of the wall, Open the Gates!

The drawbridge comes down to allow the two young men in the palace. As they begin to walk through the gateway Michael turns to the guard.

Remember me or next time I will personally take you to the Dungeons. Do you understand? asks Michael.

Yes, Sir! It will never happen again, Sir! says Tomas.

The two young men walk in the courtyard passing the other soldiers training for the upcoming battle. The soldiers stop and salute their commanding officer. Michael salutes back and continues with his brother into the main portion of the palace.

Michael, you’re the Captain General of the Army! Then that means you’re very close to the King. You know more about what’s going on then your leading! If you’re the Captain General then who gave you your orders? asks Chad with shock in his voice.

Your right, I do know more then I have told you and my orders came directly from the King himself. Come on, now you know my secret. We have to get you to the King! says Michael as they walk through the halls of the palace.

They climb some stairs and walk through a large door and down a long hallway until they make it to the King’s Throne room.

The guard outside of the room lowers his head and says, Sir, King Kirjath-arim Chephirah is expecting you. Is this your brother?

Yes, indeed he is, answers Michael.

Good, you may enter, says the Guard.

The Guard opens the very ornamented door that has the likeness of one of the kings of old from before the great division in the land. Michael and Chad walk through the doorway into the King’s Throne room. The room is very nice it has lace all over the walls and a great chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The walls are painted a light brown and there is a painting on the ceiling near the chandelier. The painting is a likeness to one of the other Great Kings of the past, King Adonis Lanner and his wife Queen Annamere Lanner. To the far right there is a balcony that leads outside and overlooks the courtyard of the palace and connects to the walkways that are a part of the defenses of the Palace. King Kirjath-arim Chephirah stands from his throne to welcome Chad and his trusted Captain General Michael Nollam.

Welcome, Chad Nollam, I know I must have taken you from your busy life to come stand here before me at this time but I want you to know you will be in the service of your King only until this task is done. I have called you before me at this time because I need you to take a letter to my brother beyond the Great Forrest. The reason I trust you with this is because your brother has told me of your use of magic in your running and I know about how you had beaten my brother’s horse in the games. I can’t risk a man on a horse because of the creatures known as the Golden Falise. These creatures have taken out almost all my messengers on horseback whenever I needed a message taken to my brother of the East of the Great Forrest. I see you want to understand what’s going on. Very well, I will tell you everything that’s taking place in our land. To the north my spies tell me the mountain people have become something known as Mountain Elves. They however are not the ones I am concerned with. The Mountain Elves seem to be peaceful. The ones I have grown uneasy about is the Great Army of the Walking Dead that is coming this way from the south. I know that my dear cousin Queen Marilee Golandera is indeed dead and walking among these creatures of the dead. I myself went in search of her but could not find her. There have been sightings of one among them that rides upon something the dead are calling the Dark Unicorn. I don’t know how this Tyrant has become so powerful but one way or another we are going to stop this mad man. Another thing about this man is that the dark power he now possesses is calling forth the Giants from the Great islands of the sea. I have heard rumors of a small band of the Giants taking their place behind this Army of the Walking Dead. Reports say there is only five or so of the giants but still to take on a giant will be a challenge. I need you to take this letter to my brother the King of the Eastern Kingdom in the city of Ivanova. This letter is asking my brother for his help. If he says yes, I want you to return with the army they prepare. I hope with all my heart, my brother comes to our aid at this time of great concern for this entire world. I say this entire world because if my Kingdom should fall this mad man will begin his journey to the East. Will you, Chad Nollam, take this letter to my brother for your King? asks the King after explaining what is taking place in all the land.

Chad lowers his head and kneels before the King and says, My Lord, I will do this for you and my country. Before I do, I must know one thing.

Thank you, my boy yet what is it you need to know? asks the King.

…What is a Unicorn? asks Chad.

I don’t know how I know this about Unicorns. A good Unicorn is a creature of pure and good magic. It is known by the gods that the Unicorn contains the power of the life force of many worlds. Yet the creature this Tyrant is riding has the power over the dead. I saw this creature. It has nothing but skin and bone. It had one twisted horn and glowing red eyes. I don’t know what this creature is but when I saw it I felt the power of death. If I am able to kill this dark creature then maybe the power over the grave will end with the Dark Unicorn, and we will have victory against this mad man. Thank you, again, my boy. I will have a great reward for your service when this whole ordeal is over, The King walks over to Chad and places his sword upon Chad’s right shoulder and says, I pronounce you a Knight of My Court of the Western Kingdom in the city of Gwalior and I pray to Xion you will be successful. Now rise, Sir Chad, of the Kingdom of the West.

Chad stands from his kneeled position with joy and hope in his heart. He looks upon his King and for the first time
