Reflections

About this ebook
REFLECTIONS came about during the Covid-19 Pandemic because the world was not prepared for such an event.
Households were disrupted. Relationships were questioned. Domestic violence and divorce skyrocketed. Many truths were revealed during this time and some were forced to accept that their lives weren't what they portrayed them to be.
The Covid-19 Pandemic was a time to reflect on what was happening and realize what changes needed to be made. The world as we knew it was changing. Life as we knew it was changing.
Change is good if it's for the better. Sometimes in life something terrible must happen for us to see how beautiful life can really be as well as what changes need to be made.
Let's reflect on what was and feel good about what we can look forward to.

Introduction
his book came to life during the 2020 COvID-19 Pandemic. I looked at the news and spoke to several people and based on the information I received I realized that a conversation needed to be had. This is not a time to judge, place blame, ridicule or stop loving people we once loved, but it is a time to reflect, re-think and re-group. This Pandemic should have
sparked change for many.
If no one has come out of this experience a changed person then something is terribly wrong. So, what changes have you made or intend to make since this Pandemic swept the nation? Let’s talk about it.

Who Would Have Thought
veryone was looking for 2020 to be a great year. The phrase #2020vision was everywhere. We never would have guessed that the year 2020 would have started out to be one hell of an awakening. The world had been left at a loss for words starting with the January 26th deaths of our beloved Kobe Bryant, his beautiful daughter Gianna and the other 7 beautiful
individuals that lost their lives in that tragic helicopter accident.
Kobe was an icon. He was not just a celebrity basketball player who won championship rings. He was someone the world looked up to as a beacon of hope that anything can be achieved through hard work and dedication. Young boys idolized him and wanted to be just as good as he was.
Kobe was the only athlete and African American to win an Oscar for Best Animated Short Subject at the time of his death. Kobe was an author, a rapper, a producer, a philanthropist, a wonderful husband, father, son and friend. Who would have thought?
I am more than sure Kobe’s death forced many of us whether you were a celebrity or not to reflect on our lives. Death is final and Kobe’s death was a
wake-up call for many. I wonder how many athletes at the time hugged their children and wives a little tighter realizing how much they really meant to them. Infidelity is common amongst some athletes, but I’m sure that took a back seat while love and reflecting came to the forefront during that tragic time.
What is more important than family when you experience the loss of a loved one or someone like Kobe whether you knew him or not? Reflecting on what’s important and what one must prioritize comes into play big time when such tragedies occur. All the nonsense and meaningless things in life take a backseat when reality hits you in the face and forces you to take life more seriously.
