    Acknowledgments

It was a surprise when Stacy Baker contacted me for the production of this book. Thank you for pushing me to write, for your obedience to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and for believing in me. To her, Jessi Gill, and the editors from TBN, I want to give you thanks for all your support in helping me write this book. I am tremendously grateful for the opportunity that the network gave me, sticking with me during this process. Especially for allowing me to let you have a peek into my loving relationship with the Holy Spirit, my best friend and loving partner. Lord, for You, I am forever grateful.

I would like to give thanks for the help that my daughter, Christina Falcon, gave me during the production of the book. Without her help, probably it wouldn’t be any book. Her editing ideas transformed my writing, and for that, I am forever grateful. I would also like to mention my pastors and teachers, who have been of great inspiration since the very start of my ministry. My pastors, Benny and Suzanne Hinn, Pastor Sam Hinn, pastors Nuno and Jackie Rodríguez, Pastor Ed Hires, Dr. Judy Fiorentino, and Dr. Richard Tindell, thank you. You all have played an important role in my spiritual growth and have given me some of my very first opportunities in ministry and the church. I will love all of you forever.

I need to mention my dear husband, Frankie, my confidant and helper. Thank you for believing in me, for your understanding, and for the infinite support of taking me wherever the Lord leads me. Thank you for the time I took from you and my daughters as you allowed me to go minister and in the writing of this book. I love you so much!

My children, Estela and Jonathan Tirado, thank you for your help and inspiration for this book.

My great friends and prayer partners, which in one way or another, were part of the experiences I shared in this book, Angie Flores, Ana E. Díaz, Magda Díaz, Marta Rodríguez De Jesús, Priscilla, Juana, Don Félix, José and Carmen Pérez, and my dear Teresa, I am forever grateful for your love and faithfulness. My parents, María Cristina and Agustin, thank you for your love and teachings. I will always keep you both in my heart. I am who I am because of you. You always will be my example to follow and to love unconditionally.

To my siblings, Maria Cristina, Nilma, Ángeles, Luis, Marisol, and Agustín, you have always been my greatest support system. I wouldn’t be here without you.

"I come to the garden alone

While the dew is still on roses

And the voice I hear, falling on my ear

    The Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me

And He tells me I am His own

And the joy we share as we tarry there

    None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice

Is so sweet the birds hush their singing

And the melody that He gave to me

    Within my heart is ringing.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me

And He tells me I am His own

And the joy we share as we tarry there

    None other has ever known."

    Prophetic Message

    Walk with Me

One night while I was thinking about the book I was about to write and while writing in my journal, I began listening to my Lord very clearly. He began to talk to me about His desire for me:

I desire perfection. I am not referring to the perfection of character, but the perfection of always looking upward to Me while you walk, perfection of the heart. I am looking for the perfect heart. Yes, not the fleshly heart but the spiritual heart. A pliable and yielding heart. A heart that is always hungry for more of Me, not of things, but of Me. A heart that, yes, is like the soft and yielding branches of the willow tree that dances at the tune of the wind. A heart that knows it’s sad when there is no wind to make it dance. A heart I know is searching, thinking of Me when busy in the flesh, a heart that is present to Me. That heart is a heart that I can look upon and see Myself. Yes, it is like a mirror where I can see My reflection. Then others will see My reflection as well.

Walking with Me is transforming you because as you gaze in My beauty, you become more beautiful. As you look at how I walk on this earth, you will begin walking as I walked. Your spirit will grow to the measure and stature of Me.

Why would you like to be like Me? Because I created you to be like Me. You are My greatest creation! You are perfect in all you do because your heart is My heart. Your thoughts are My thoughts. Therefore, you must look at Me. Look at My eyes! Be attentive to Me, to what I say, to what I do, to how I walk, to how I heal, to how I forgive, to how I love! You will eventually and naturally become just like Me, with no effort on your part. I must remove you from the atmosphere of the earth and set you in My atmosphere, the atmosphere of heaven. Then, you will bring easily the things of heaven to this earthly life.

Then, I answered Him, Lord, I am because You are! I am your creation; You created me because You loved me before I was even born.

The Lord simply answered, "The Bible is a simple book. So simple! And yet, some people through ages have dissected it so much that it has lost its meaning, its importance. If you love Me, you will love, delight yourself in My sayings. My words are true. But you can’t truly love Me with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, with all your strength if your heart is not right with Me, if it is not perfect to Me.

This is why I sent my Spirit to be one with yours. So I can recover my children. You, who once was lost, but now you have been found. That is the purpose of Jesus."

Lord, I love You with all my heart! I do love You! I answered. Being in Your presence has renewed me; You have made me to know You, feel You, to see Your heart! I might be reflecting You; I can actually feel my heart like it is Your heart.

The voice of God in my heart continued telling me, That is why you have to be separated from this world. I know it seems like fun to be engaged with it, but while you are apart from Me, you are becoming weaker, and it’s a matter of time before you begin reflecting on it. Your flesh is supposed to follow your spirit. Remember, where your heart is, there is your treasure. Wherever your treasure is, that is where your heart is, and that is where your flesh will go. That is why you cannot be anxious about anything. That is why I don’t want you to be desiring or concerned about the things of this world. Don’t desire things. They may be needs, but you cannot desire them with eagerness because, with eagerness, you must desire Me. Do not worry! Yes, I mean not to be anxious, impatient.

Full of hunger, I asked the Lord, What does purpose mean?

Then, He said, What do I mean? It is like a straight line that goes from infinity to infinity. From left to right. Through time. Like the horizon. That line does not change, it is fixed, but it continues. Fulfill My intentions and the desires of My heart. My plans are in that line, in my purpose, until the end of the world and even more.

I kept asking questions; oh, I had so many questions! What is the difference between Your purpose and my purpose?

He answered with so much patience, like a father when he explains things to his child, My purpose is eternal. My purpose is fulfilled in time. It is My intention for something to happen in the short or long term. However, your purpose is your intention behind your plans. My hope is that your purpose and My purpose are one, just as your heart and My heart are one. That your line is intertwined with My line.

Then I asked, And when I get out of hand?

My Lord continued speaking to my heart, Then, it happens that your line goes in another direction. That is when you ask Me for help and to come and rescue you, like a sheep entangled in the thorns of a bush. I would carefully extend My hand and pull you out. Then, I would put you back in your journey, in My purpose.

My thoughtful reply was, Now I understand why we have to look at You. Keep our eyes on You. And continue to continually look at You with our hearts. To follow your line, to follow your purpose, and not get out of it.

His sweet voice reassured me, Do you see how easy it is to talk to Me?

My answer just came out with great happiness, Yes, Lord! I just need to take my journal and a pencil and write what is in my heart, which is Your heart. We have the mind of Christ.

And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

Let your heart therefore be perfect with the Lord our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

    (Matthew 5:48 KJV)

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

    (Psalm 27:4 KJV)

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

But we have the mind of Christ.

    Introduction

How wonderful it is to be a daughter of the king! It is marvelous to talk to Him and to listen as He speaks to you. God is always speaking.

You can take great joy in knowing that He wants a close relationship with you and that He wants to walk with you in an intimate way. He has made you special and unique, and that is the way He wants to communicate with you. Walking with the Holy Spirit each day and meditating in God’s Word will transform you and bring answers, peace, and great joy.

This book—And He Walks with Me—is a collection of some of my experiences in my walk with the Holy Spirit. It is not a deep theological or scholarly work, but the wonderful recount of part of my life that I pray will bless you. The joys and the experiences that I share with you in this book led me to answers that changed my life forever. It is my utmost prayer that you learn to talk to God and to know that He is always with you and always listening. Surely, He always responds! I pray that these chapters will give you guidance through the lessons I lived and I am still living. Remember to let the Word of God always be your final confirmation.

    Jesus said,

The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

    (John 6:63 NLT)

How true are these words! Know that. Keep God’s words in your heart and mind. Think His thoughts, speak His words. Learn to walk in eternity.

The Holy Spirit will give you Jesus, and to know Jesus is to know eternal life. Learn to walk with His Holy Spirit! Be transformed by His words as I was transformed. Whether you are a newborn or a seasoned Christian, be established in His Spirit and His Word. Not one or the other but the two of them. Listen to man, but it is the Holy Spirit who speaks inside of you, and the written Word always confirms. Be encouraged and strengthened as you abide in the love and faithfulness of God. I pray that my memories and learning experiences will draw you to His glorious presence.

If you do not know Jesus as your Savior and Lord, and this book ended in your hands, perhaps you will want to pray with me this prayer before you embark on this walk with Him, "Father God, I come to you just as I am. I ask for Your forgiveness for every sin in my life. You said in your Word that though your sins be as scarlet, they will be white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool (Isaiah 1:18). Take my sins, those which have kept you away from me, and make them white as snow. I receive Jesus in my heart as my only Savior and Lord. Please come, Lord Jesus, and make me new. I want to be born again. You also said in Your Word that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, all things are passed away, all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Come, Lord Jesus, to my life and make me a new creature; I want this new life in You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit! I want all of You."

Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. Come to know Him. One day you will also say as I do, and He walks with me.

    Chapter 1

You Will Be My Young Shepherdess

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

    (Romans 5:5 NLT)

To listen and to speak with the Holy Spirit, you need to actually remove the veil that separates His thoughts from your thoughts. Between His mind and yours. It means sharing your thoughts without keeping anything from Him. The secret thoughts that you keep from God are those devoid of His love. God cannot reach them even though He knows them. Why do we keep them from Him? Because we think that these thoughts will bring judgment, and that is
