Joey Edwards

Reverend Dr. Joey Edwards has been serving in ministry for 30 years. As an ordained Cumberland Presbyterian minister, he has served as pastor for several churches in the West Tennessee area. He has also served as a college professor for the past 12 years, teaching in the areas of Business and Religion. The daily “Inspirational Thought” has been a part of his ministry since 2008, and goes out daily to congregants, former students, classmates, friends and family throughout the country. His educational background includes a B.S. in Business and MBA from the University of Tennessee at Martin, and a MDiv and DMin from Memphis Theological Seminary.

We can pray, trusting that God not just hears our words, but our heart; and He answers by giving us more than what we ask for, but instead what’s best for us.

Sometimes, to get where we need to be, we have to give up something. It may be a bad habit, a hobby that takes up too much of our time, or someone who is a bad influence. Short term sacrifices for long-term gain.

It will be worth it.
