About this ebook
Many countries bask in the glory of enjoying land that is rich and fertile. While others unfortunately have nothing but arid and infertile land. Soil where only pain and suffering are harvested, as it dwells unnoticed under the beautiful facade of something so empty and pretentious—a facade many learn to live with. Where lands scream over nature’s own wrath, calling out to strangers from other parts of the world so that they could migrate to a land with so much to give and so much to offer.
And with it, also derives, the countless stories shared by many old timers, individuals who once were a part of those journeys—to those great and fertile lands. Men who in their youth dared to escape their own country with nothing but their shirts on their backs and venture out to the promise land, leaving so much misery and poverty behind, for a dream.
Men and women who had no choice but to make the ultimate sacrifice and leave the land that watched them grow up and ultimately push them to take the ultimate leap of faith and migrate to the land that entices so many, but it’s made a reality only for those willing to sacrifice everything.
“It has always been and will always be humanity’s struggle”, those old timers used to say, “ because life is a struggle, not only for those who have it good, but for those who have it bad as well.”
Such is the the plight of the illegal immigrant, men and women capable of enduring a ton of hardship at the expense of being exploited. By Men who instead of helping out their own paisano would actually extort them out of their hard earned weekly paychecks. Undocumented men and women who had no choice but to comply and swallow their pride or else fall victim to the ruthlessness and godless nature of evil men in a new and strange land.
