Conclusion
Death is not a maze to eternal life do not take the ‘broad road’ Jesus said, Matthew 7:13-14, Enter you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in there in: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.
We must seek the narrow (Strait) road by faith in Jesus Christ and His blood sacrifice for our sins that leads to eternal life in Him. Any other way is considered a broad road.
May God Bless your reading!
The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words
left unsaid and deeds left undone."
~ Harriet Beecher Stowe ~
"We all die. We die of various maladies. Sin is why we die. God said that we as a race would all suffer death because of Adam and Eve’s transgression. But by our choices in life we will live again to serve either Jesus Christ or Satan. When we ‘sleep’ beneath stone sentinels our choice has been already made by us to either awake to eternal life or to awake to eternal death. It’s one or the other. No middle ground!
Please think about that for a moment!
Where are you going to be dear reader? Your choice is now! Make that choice while you still have a chance to!"
The State Of Man In Death
It was a misty cold October morning. The slight movement of the air touched everyone so lightly. The dead leaves moved slowly around the feet of all those present on the small upward climb of a slight hill that surrounded the eye with little else to focus upon. The nearby stone sentinels stood ridged, cold, and frozen in time in the October daylight. The pale blue eyes of the little girl swept over the small group of people as she briefly studied each square solemn face. Vivid colors seemed lost in the autumn sunshine and everything looked gray and black in the rays of a forgotten sun. The little girl slipped her hand into her mother’s and looked up into her tear soaked face. The mother’s white handkerchief barely caressed her nose in the chill of the morning air. The breath of everyone seemed to hang in the air as puffs of frozen smoke. Her mother slightly squeezed the little girl’s hand as if to say to her, Everything will be alright.
This unspoken reassurance comforted her, as she didn’t really understand what was going on around her.
She let her eyes wander and they found themselves looking at the large long pale gray box that was supported with straps as if suspended in mid-air before her. Then her eyes looked lower and she saw the dark hole in the ground right below the gray box. Her young mind finally grasped the collective idea that this gray box was going to be lowered down into that ever-present hole in the ground. She became afraid and squeezed her mother’s hand with surprising strength. Then she turned and buried her face deep in the creases of her mothers black skirt. Her mother moved slightly and placed her seemingly large hands behind the neck and back of her daughter and pressed her deeper into her dress of mourning.
The little girl felt a great sadness come over her but she didn’t understand what the intense meaning of this feeling could be. She was sobbing and crying holding firmly to her mother with her arms wrapped around her mother’s one leg. Her little fingers dug deeply into the dress of her mother like she was playing in the sand and squeezing it between her little fingers.
She was then aware of words being spoken but she didn’t understand the words. She turned her little face toward the direction of the words and saw a tall man dressed in a black suit holding a small book in his hand. Then her ears caught the words, …and blessed be Steven in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
At the end of those words he closed the little book and paused for a few moments. His eyes met the eyes of the little girl standing next to her mother. The girl saw that face, that cold dark gray face that spoke words without the man saying anything. His black eyes were stern and cold and the little girl was afraid again. Abruptly he turned his back to the little girl and started to move away across the grass and passed the stone sentinels that seemed to surround each one in their silent guard. Then everyone started to move away from the deep dark hole in the ground. That ravenous hole looked like it was begging someone to lower something down into its deep dark recesses of the cold blackness within.
She looked up to her mother and said in a strained voice, Mama…Mama…where’s Daddy?
Her answer was a deep sob from her mother. She picked up the little girl and held her ever so tightly to her breast. The reality of what was going on around these two individuals crashed in upon her mother’s deep sorrow.
The breeze seemed to start moving dead leaves faster and faster around the feet of everyone who was there at this mournful sight. The clouds covered the sun and all seem gray and black in the morning breeze.
Death, the human frame was never created by God to experience the black reality of death. This dark chamber of our minds is the result of our sin and rebellion towards our Creator in this world of death. We see its results almost everyday. And we experience the great emotions that are ever linked and associated with death. Our minds cannot comprehend the schism of the death of a loved one or for that matter the death of anyone, or even the pets that we care for and love so dearly. Death is the utter voice of finality in our walk through this life. But not a finality in the collective minds of the Godhead, who love us and helps us endure this most gruesome effect of sin upon the backs of a sin cursed world.
But in the past few years I have noticed an alarming trend towards the ‘spiritualistic side’ of Satan’s original lie, Ye shall not surely die!
I thought it was time to thoroughly investigate this long held Christian doctrine and re-tune
our stand on this most deceptive of deceptions. The Bible is the Word of God to us here in this world. And within its pages we will find the truth of any and every doctrine that questions our minds in this day of scattered denominational platforms. I hope that through this book you will come to a better understanding of what the Bible actually states about this most critical last day issue, The State of Man in Death.
There are many conflicting ideas concerning ‘man’s death’. This doctrinal position has been expounded and augmented upon throughout past centuries. During the ‘Dark Ages’, Catholic ideology instituted the direct admittance of the dead individual into heaven, hell, or purgatory. These centuries old doctrinal concepts have transferred into our mainstream Protestant denominations, and have been held within traditional Protestant principles pretty much to our day, but does the Bible really support this position? There are some key facets which glisten around the state of man doctrine
, for instance, man’s nature, man’s soul, spiritualism, how will the wicked end their existence, eternal torment, did the repentant thief go directly to heaven, the rich man and Lazarus. All of these sub-topics will be addressed in this work. This doctrinal platform is
