7 Foundation Principles of Salvation - Margo Gina Paul
Prologue
God’s Salvation Process
A
ccepting Christ is the most important thing that any individual could do. We accept Christ as our Lord and Savior by acknowledging that we are sinners born in sin. We ask God to forgive our sins and we invite Him into our hearts, souls, and spirits. God hears our confession and forgives our sins. Romans 10:9-10 says, If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
This is how we become born-again Christians through repentance and confessed faith. God loves and cares for each of us individually. The Bible tells us in John 3:16, God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For there is joy in heaven over one soul that repents!
After we confess our sins, we are instructed to find a faith-based church to join to learn how to live for Christ. Many churches offer new convert classes, but many individuals are unable to attend due to schedule constraints and life commitments. We are also living in a day where it’s difficult to find pastors to shepherd the people of God. There is also a famine in the land, and it’s not of bread and water, but of hearing the word of God. Therefore, for these reasons and more, many individuals feel like a needle in the haystack because they struggle with where to begin in their new journey with Christ.
