12 Fucking Steps
- I’m writing this stupid fucking letter because the hate I have for you is nearly too much.
So-called professionals say it’s therapeutic to write a letter to the person or persons who brought me to this stage in my life. One of the many steps of their psychobabble bullshit. Figured I would try it on for size.
At this point, there isn’t much that could hurt me. Of course, you came to mind. The bane of my existence. The one who robbed me of my youth. This is the only way for me to vomit everything I’ve been holding on to. All that’s been drowning me. The pain that’s been feasting on my soul daily. The recollection of terrors feel like glass shattering beneath my skin. I’m slowly dying.
After suffering through the stages of confusion, sadness...a lot of fucking sadness...blaming myself, the feeling of being abandoned, and ashamed, I’ve fallen into darkness. We were supposed to have an unbreakable bond but all you wanted to do was cut my soul into pieces. Your twisted desires spilled into my world like a wave of obliteration. You took everything that was once good and pure in my life and saturated it with your perverse poison. There was no escape. You made sure of that.
You ruined me! You stole from me!
You branded me with pain and suffering from day one with a simple glance. My body still shivers with disgust when I’m tormented by the memories. It will always be a part of me. There is no escape from the darkness you brought upon me.
You killed, you lied, you took advantage, and you should be made to suffer.
I was going to end it all but after seeing you, now I know what I need to do.
This is day one. Justice will be served.

A high-pitched squeal vibrated her ears and the gloom suddenly grew bright.
Bass of the surround sound system pulsed against the walls. Her eyes remained closed while her head nodded to the heavy punk metal. Music encouraged, stimulated, and inspired the woman to do what needed to be done. Goosebumps crawled across her skin while excitement and redemption were within reach. There was no other way. Tainted beyond repair. There was no other way around it. The endless torment had to stop.
It took years to make sense of it all. Attempting to find perceptive to the savageness of others. An ultimate reason to why, or how, someone could ruin adolescence with a simple choice of action. Plagued, haunted, fucked up. Dozens of therapy sessions with medical professions didn’t work. Countless prescriptions and a few inpatient visits after multiple suicide attempts, she was considered a lost cause. Nothing helped alleviate the pain. Not until one moment set her on another more liberating path. Sometimes, it became too much to handle. A scent, sound, even the way the wind blew would become a trigger. When did enough truly become enough?
Tumbling deeper into an abyss of suffering and depression, her inquisitiveness opened a door to the dark web. The only path to the light was to embrace the darkness, and that was exactly what she did. Never could it have been foretold she would find her true self within the network. After her first experience, life transitioned forever. Fox discovered everything she needed within the technological fold. Hidden from the real world, she fell right into a new safe space. Her path wasn’t a phase or a quick fix. Though the pain still lingered at the surface, being someone new was exhilarating. It pushed her to do better. Be better. To be who she was always meant to be.
Dressed in a 1960’s light blue vintage tea dress with a small red rose pattern, she embraced her past. A large but perfect bow secured at her waist. Under the pleated skirt, a white petticoat, causing the skirt to billow out around her body. The back-seam pantyhose were tight, holding her together. The fire-red eight-inch heals forced her ass up and put immense strain on her calves. The tips of her feet were screaming in agony but the ache
